Bye Bye Belli

According to the Spec , Belli asked to be traded. His undisciplined play on Saturday night looks like he was trying to force the issue with his undisciplined penalties, esp the late hit on the quarterback and the obvious face mask penalty.
Belli is happy to going to a winning team . I for one, am just glad that he's gone. Sorry Belli fans. :thdn:

I wonder how many of these players would like to be gone, by the looks of their play probably quite a few.

If under the new regime here and they can’t perform, bye bye to them also and bring in guys who want to be in Hamilton and take the Cats to the Grey Cup.

A source said that after the game Belli went to Lancaster and asked to be traded. Belli didn't deny that.

"We were having issues," he said. "But I don't want to get into what was said with the coaches. I feel bad for the organization, the way things are going now. And the fans deserve a helluva lot more than what's going down on the field right now."

Belli said Lancaster asked him what was wrong with the Cats, but he didn't have an answer for him.

"As a player, as a team, you can get into certain funks, and we got into one," said Belli, who's in his option year and would have been able to walk away

as a free agent at the end of the season.

im glad belli is gone, no more uneccessary roughness penalties, freelancing, and erratic behaviour.

Lets get rid of the whiners and get players and coaches in that are ready to go out and fight for the team.

I hope the new GM gets rid of the cancers in the dressing room and restores the roar.

hopefully marcel brings a total housecleaning, and that includes, trainers, ballboys, managers, coaches, players, staff, anybody and everybody it takes to build this team into a championship contender.

Definitely, Megan.

Good riddance Adriano!

When times get tough the tough get going.

This doesn't mean asking be shown the door

Tough time never last, tough people do
they don't ask to be for a trade.

Belli played with passion. He seemed to care about winning. In Reed's scheme, he was often double-teamed but still fought to get to the quarterback.IMO, Pederson is the tackle that should have been moved. For those that can remember, Mosca took lots of penalties and was let go by the Cats. I hope Belli returns to the Cats because he is one of the few defenders who seems to care.
Pat Lynch (the old guy in section 7 )

Interestingly enough, I was at practice last week and saw Belli involved in a long conversation with Coach Reed ... then Belli left the field while practice was still in session.

I can't say for sure if he came back to the field ... but does it really matter now?

Glad to see him gone, and wish others on the defense were gone too. We need better tackling, better DB's and tight coverage, and some hard hitting. I dont see it with this D. A good D would make the other teams turn it over three and out. We give up too many yards and way to many big plays. Even games that were close the D just could not shut things down.
