My wife gets so mad when I say that.

Well, we can’t all agree on everything! But I think most of us can agree that Tim Hortons coffee is not acceptable to those of us with a refined pallet for caffeine lol

Aren’t CFL footballs made by Wilson in the US? Time to resurrect the J5V!

I still have mine. Who made the J5V?

Seriously… Google can answer any question anyone has. Answer below

Spalding footballs, including the J5V model, were originally manufactured in Canada at a factory in Brantford, Ontario, until Spalding closed that facility and ceased all manufacturing in Canada in 1996.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Spalding Canada’s History: Spalding Canada, a subsidiary of Spalding, had a factory in Brantford, Ontario, where they produced the J5V football for decades, particularly for the Canadian Football League (CFL).
CFL Switch to Wilson: The CFL switched to Wilson footballs, which were made in the U.S., after Spalding proposed supplying the CFL with balls made in South Korea and closed its Canadian factory.
Spalding’s Current Manufacturing: Spalding is an American sports equipment manufacturing company, headquartered in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
J5V’s Popularity: The Spalding J5V was popular in Canada, likely due to the fact that Spalding produced the balls sold in Canada at their Brantford factory.
CFL Ball Changes: The CFL used Spalding’s J5V until Spalding’s Canadian factory closed.
Current CFL Ball: The CFL’s ball now matches the NFL ball’s specifications.

Is there a tariff on it. Maybe the season will e canceled

Here’s the J5-V from the 1956-57 Spalding Canada Fall and Winter Catalog.
Spalding introduced the Model J in 1892. Inflated balls of the era came in multiple sizes, identified by number, and the 5 designated a 27-inch ball (versus a 6 being a 30-inch ball). Spalding introduced the J5 in 1903, and slimmed it down to a 23 inch ball, so it was the first true football.
The NFL adopted the J5-V in 1932 before switching to the Wilson ball in 1941.

Hi All,

I have some work trips coming up to Canada. Would I be welcome there? Might bring the family up for one of them.

I like their donuts and always get some when I am in a Tim Horton’s area…

I am with you on this one. Believe it or not, most Americans think this whole stance by the orange buffoon is moronic and can’t stand it.
