The Defence was tonight - Amos and Talbert were targeted all night and did sweet eff all.
Not all that much pressure on Harris all night - against backup O-linemen. Neither the D-line not the LBs are worth their paycheque.
White had a wide-open TD, but STILL can’t catch a pass that hits both his hands. Meanwhile, Lawlor shows what a TRUE Number One QR is capable of. It’s night and day between them, and Timmeh is simply not performing up to both his potential and his paycheque. Then there was a noticeable lack of effort in the final minute.
There is no run game. The O-Line seemingly cannot open holes for a RB.
SSK left 9 points on the scoreboard with three missed FGs and a missed PAT.
So, basically everything I mentioned in the opening post of the PBP thread happened in a bad way.
How much longer does this have to contimue before major changes. We need serious help on the D-Line, and hopefully Stubblefield actually sees the field before the turn of the century. One guy won’t make a lot of difference, but with the display of both Moxey and Amos tonight it can’t come soon enough.
I want to institute a new rule where BLM gets to hoof Timmeh in the nards with work boots every time he drops a pass that hits him in both hands. MAYBE that will make him learn how to concentrate and put some EFFORT into his game.
So…As usual, a poorly constructed team from the O and D-Lines on out. The problems last year were that the O-Line had serious blocking issues. Last year the D-Line could not generate pressure from our Front 4 that exposed a weak Secondary.
Literally nothing has been done to fix this at all…
Within a few weeks of Jones being here, the D went back to giving up over 30 points a game last year. The issue here is a lack of talent and a lack of talent evaluating skills…
We fans look forward to the start of Ticat season every year and they perform like this? Even after knowing we can’t start the season with a bunch of losses?
Let’s be honest here I think Scott Mitchell is the biggest problem
And the thing is he’s an owner now so it’s not likely we’re going to fire him
