Burn the 2024 Witches v.VII - Disgusted

Too much to type.
Defence gave up over 30 points again.
Figs hurt - again. Have to move a DT to play Guard.
Murray can’t keep his temper under wraps, causing us to ove Sayles to G.
This is what happens when you don’t dress a backup OL.
This team has such a dearth of talent it’s inexcusable.

I hate to burst some bubbles, but Powell ain[t going to win us shit with the way the team’s built.

It was all Bo’s fault. \s

Team will never be taken seriously with this defense.

Start whatever QB you want. It’s not even worth debating while this D continues to play like this. It’s not professional.

Re Bo: You can’t turn the ball over and live to tell about it. If he doesn’t throw that INT I’m convinced he stays in the game.

It’s Bo’s fault.
It’s Powell’s fault.
It’s the ST coordinator’s fault.
It’s Washington’s fault.
It’s the DBs, it’s the receivers, it’s the linebackers.

What about the coach they hired who had lost 10 of his last 11 games and has now lost 17 of last 20?

Paper bags next week?

At least Barker was saying that there’s a LOT more wrong with this team than the play of our QB.

I’m with you on all this.

Bo looked some combination of frustrated and confused by Montreal’s D over 4 quarters and a series. A QB change can’t be criticized.

Powell looked fine tonight. He was the desert equivalent of vanilla ice cream. Better than more vegetables, but not a hot fudge sundae. For what it’s worth I thought he was more decisive than last year and that confidence led to pretty decent execution vs a great defense.

With all that said, none of it matters. Our D is putrid and we had zero chance of winning tonight. If our offense scored 50 our D would have given up 60.

Penalties and a bend till you break defense cost us the game.

This is a bad INT. He has Kiandre asking for the dumpoff and Butler wide open at the far sidelines. Back across his body into traffic.

Can’t say I blame Milo for pulling him.

A benching or page turning ? Your move, Steve Milton. Feels like something we should know.

How will he put a positive spin on this?

I don’t think Powell will ever be the gunslinger that Bo is or once was, but I think Milanovich right now wants his QB to protect the ball.

Even last year Powell demonstrated that he would rather eat the ball or throw it away rather than force a boneheaded pass that has a high probability of getting picked off.

Powell reminds me of a young Trevor Harris. More suited to a ball control offence that Milanovich seems to favour.

Should be a very interesting 2nd half of a season.

Uncle Milty has been around forever he doesn’t have to put a spin on anything if he likes .

He’s being paid by the team, so…
He’s not going to bite the hand that feeds him.

He’s an HSG employee now.

Absolutely. Either of those receivers were way short of the yards to gain, but both were better than forcing it downfield with odds slightly worse than a lotto 649 ticket.

Here’s the thing. With this Defense that may not work. Bo has shown against teams with weaker Defences he can move the ball and score TDs. So when Edmonton is up 13-0 and Milo and Powell take 9 mins to kick a FG we’re all going to be screaming for some more plays downfield and it’s gonna be Condell all over again.

Powell suits Montreal’s D gameplan but is he a starter that can put up 30 with regularity? If not, find someone else.
