An easy-going, easy breezy QB . We’re pinning hopes on the wrong personality type at the absolutely wrong time and circumstances.
I think you answered it…check down passes and short passes off play action when the run game was featured. Everything after that was beyond his capabilities at this point…
I can only listen to Morreale and Hitch on the audio network these days.
This organization getting ripped to shreds on the 5th quarter right now…
What are we expecting? Visions of Chuck Ealey and even Dane Evans are once in a lifetime things.
He wasn’t even part of this teams plan before the season, he’s a raw rookie with average talent. He’s gonna need some time (and alot of help) before we know what he really is.
So, was anyone open in the 7-12-yard range, or not?
I think Nathan Rourke and Chad Kelly have ratcheted up fan expectations for inexperienced starters. In reality, the vast majority of rookie QBs are going to be works in progress at best.
Precisely…
Everyone else had to pick him up, including the coaching staff…
Caretaker Update: Im not a football guy, Thats why I hire good football guys and girls, golly gee. How about your social gathering spaces for people that don’t watch the game. Such a great atmosphere!! Mikes watching be nice
I doubt there will be any changes this season, not that it would make any difference. We have some good players. Hopefully we can keep most of them for next year.
Basically more bs baffles brains from our huckster of an owner…
I got some news for you…
This team is probably wwwaaayyyy over the salary cap and most of what we see here now is getting blown up in the off season.
They also had a year of being a backup QB on thier team.
Same with Dane Evans in 2019 - he was a backup in 2018.
Good…
Frankly, they may as well start the blow up process during the bye week…
Blow it up now!
Honest question. What CAN they do ?
I was at the game tonite and enjoyed the first half - but thought we should have come out with more than an 11-3 lead at half. Following our field goal
early in the third quarter, we were out scored 24-0. We could not stop them, and our offence went dead for the rest of the game.
There is nothing to really look forward to - maybe we can sneak into the playoffs somehow - but it looks like a lost season to me.
After Labour Day, it is going to be really hard to show up at Tim Hortons field to watch.
Cleaning out the front office would be a start…Rebuilding the scouting department right now would be another place to begin with an emphasis on skills and development…
Honestly , the REAL issue is with ownership and its commitment to winning, or lack thereof…
Hopefully, the bye week will help with the walking wounded. And then we welcome those “pesky” Elks to THF on the 17th. Now, it we lose that one, well, then… Oh, I really won’t care any more!
