This is interesting, first serious report of announcing a Head Coach.
It is by Perry Lefko so who knows how serious it is.
But if true, I think this is the right choice. I never thought Cortez was reality.
Plus with Burke, we will have a coaching staff assembled quickly, with reports saying he'll likely bring assistants with him.
I think Lefko is right on this one...AND, I for one will be happy with Burke as HC.
Just who will be his OC is going to be the big question now. 
I hope he brings in a very good offensive co-ordinator, something this team really needs.

If it's true, it would be hilarious to have Burke, Trestman, and Milanovich all HCs in the same division. Talk about a chess match.

Well should be interesting then. Looking at every team’s coaches; there isn’t anyone that stands out as an OC candidate.
I believe Khari Jones was a good one, just needed more time to develop. Coaches can’t perfect their playbook in one season.
Fans needs to stop running players and coaches out of the city after one season. Same thing is going to happen in 2012 with the OC - growing pains and fans will be calling for change!

Steve Buratto, Doug Berry, Greg Mohns … all fine men and true. And each has had success as a head coach in this league in case Burke falters :lol:
I'm thinking our oc is already part of this team. Rick Worm was oc for both Winnipeg and Edmonton.

Realistic: Thanks for the heads up on Lefko’s story.
If what his sources say about George Cortez’s demands are true, they make sense. Cortez is in the driver’s seat because it looks like Gailey could be around for another season. His opportunities for advancement in the NFL are far greater than he would have in the CFL.
If we end up with Tim Burke then so be it…he could be very good. From what I read from the Blue Bomber fans, they will be very sorry to see him go.
Let’s hope the decision comes later this week so whoever it is can get to work right away on re-vamping this team.

However he is quoting someone …and the comments would make sense. So I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for a while.
He was right about Burris. He’s more in the know than even the Spec’s two sports guys.
By the sounds of it Lefko seems sure that this is official.
Whereas, Naylor and others are reporting nothing confirmed other than a decision by weeks end or early next week. Whether its Burke, O'Shea, or Cortez after interviewing if that happens even.
It's easy to make the prediction that Lefko has made when its down to these 3 and the situation Cortex has in Buffalo and the NFL.
I think Burris to Hamilton was obvious to everyone.
He was the first to announce the trade and even knew Glenn was going the other way. So it would be safe to assume his source is reliable and probably the same as for the Burris deal.
