Just thought I'd post reminding everyone that the Hamilton Bulldogs are going to be opening their season on Saturday at 4:00pm. They will be playing against the Toronto Marlies, the only other pro sports team who may in fact suck worse then the Argos. $25 a ticket, lets show our support and continue to stomp Toronto as only Hamilton can.
Won't be able to make Saturday's game probably but will make a point to go to a game or two this year and pretend they are playing agains't the Knights or other OHL team.
not this Saturday its Saturday October 16th 4pm vs Marlies
You're wrong with that assumption. It has to be the Leafs, for sure !!! <!-- s:wink: -->:wink:<!-- s:wink: --> <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
"Bulldogs!! Eat 'em Raw!!"
No that would be the Canadiens
Remember, the Leafs are not a team. What they are is a group of guys that go through the motions, like pro wrestling WWF whatever it's called, and pretend and that's the way MLSE likes it, it makes the company loads of money to have actors out there rather than players trying to win.
I'm sure Larry Tanenbaum and Vince McMahon are good friends.
Go Habs Go! Not that I'm a big hockey fan but I do like the Habs unies I will say.
Cheers to that Earl. Actually the fact that the Marlies suck so bad, are the reason why the Leafs suck so bad. In the salary cap era, developing plays is so key. You can't just buy a team, you need to get a group of good & hungry players who are just looking to get into the NHL and thus wanting to play for less money to make up your 3rd and 4th lines.
Lets take a look at which teams this year the Stanley Cup Playoffs and which teams made the Calder Cup Playoffs.
Manchester - LA
Worcester - San Jose
Lowell - New Jersey
Portland - Buffalo
Hershey - Washington
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton - Pittsburgh
Hamilton - Montreal
Manitoba - Vancouver
Milwaukee - Nashville
Rockford - Chicago
That's ten out of sixteen teams, including the Stanley cup champions Chicago, and we all know Phoenix only made it because the fix was in.
