You gotta love the old Bomber coach who didn't believe in sideline heaters for his players. He walked out to centre field for the ceremonial coin toss yesterday in the Viking game. The temperature was minus 21 C and he was wearing a short sleeve Viking golf shirt. Bud is over 80 years old but still Manitoba/Minnesota tough! :thup: :thup: :thup:

Bud is soon to be 89 years old and little known fact played for the Lakers of the NBA for 2 seasons before playing in the NFL followed by the CFL. Not many athletes have taken that path...
I've always had a lot of admiration for Coach Bud Grant, but at his age does he really have anything to prove to football fans? Someone get this guy some long johns and a parka! 
Bud was back in the Peg for the Cup and looked pretty spry to me for 89...Cold...what cold? was his attitude...Great coach that won the Bombers a few Cups in his time... The Hamilton fans would know that only too well... 
And yes before someone says it....25 years and counting since our last Cup win...Oh for the days of old Bud..
Don't worry, you still have a long way to go for maximum championship frustration - look at the Make Me Laughs - 50 years and counting (as of spring 2017)
