Bucs cut Campbell

Good news for the eskies, looks like they’ll be getting Kelly Campbell back as he was released by the Buccaneers today.

Has to go through the waiver wire first, that's what, 10, 14 days?

Back in time for the Labour day mismatch.

the guy has lots of talent, so let’s just wait and see if some other NFL team doesn’t grab him or if he goes to the practice roster first before declaring him an Eskimo…

Being released this late in training camp sucks for Campbell, because another NFL team likely won't take a chance on him, as their rosters are close to being set. If he decides he wants to come back to the CFL, I see him back with the Esks in two weeks, which is great for our league considering all of the talented players the NFL poached from us this past offseason.

The Raiders can use all the help they can get. They have NOBODY who can catch the ball, let alone get open. They’ll likely do nothing about it though.

Then the Raiders would need to find somone to throw him the ball though. j/k

You’re right, sadly. Russell is just HORRIBLE. He has feet of lead. The O line obviously has zero confidence in him.

Jeff Garcia should be starting for them. Or even Zabranski. Russell is a third stringer at best and will likely be traded if he doesn’t show something soon.

Edit: Garcia comes into the game, finally, and boom, 16 yard gain.
