Marching to the field, the rooters were lined up after gaining admittance and paraded around the field to the strains of Hail, Hail, the Gang’s All Here, and escorted to their seats in the southwest bleachers, when they started in to entertain the crowd, which was fast pouring through the various entrances, with the famous Tiger yells, and the most popular as well as the latest:

It’s interesting to see how the cheer has evolved since the beginning and that it’s referred here as “the latest”…

Its interesting that the Spectator reports that story on the 23rd but the league reports the game taking place on the 26th. Since the 26th was a Saturday I think the Spec might have goofed on that one!

A big reason why the Hamilton Ticats are undefeated at their new home, Tim Horton’s Field, is because of their fan base. Saying that playing in Hamilton is a hostile environment would be a massive understatement and truly unfair to their fans. The Argonauts were Hamilton’s first opponent at Tim Horton’s Field in 2014 when the stadium opened up, a game the Argos lost 13-12. If the Argonauts are going to have a different outcome this time around, they will need their offence to strike quickly and often to take the brash Hamilton fans out of the game. The Ticat fans could make it very difficult for Toronto to communicate on the field with one another and to hear the calls from the sidelines. Hamilton has one of the hardest stadiums in which to win, but it can also be one of the most fun venues to play in. The Argos should look to gain an early advantage to try and quiet the crowd at Tim Horton’s Field.

I would like to remind everyone to be loud once the blew team offence huddles and not to wait for them to line up. When they line up they likely will use a silent count to help avoid the inconvenience of loud Tabbie fans.

If we are loud when they are in the huddle some of their players may not hear the play call correctly which will lead to mistakes and a positive outcome for our D.

This is how the 13th man should operate.

Know what I miss from Guelph? The fan 'alleyway' from the field to the dressing room. Gave us the chance to verbally directly contact players for accolades or encouragement. Too bad we can't have some semblance of that here at THF.
