On the Bill Kelly show on CHML this morning one of the callers suggested bringing back Hitchcock & Morreale if for nothing more than morale purposes. I am sure they both can contribute as much as anyone else that is only playing in certain situations or special teams and might settle a few of the young kids down and get their heads in the game.
The way things have turned out it is not a bad suggestion as far as I am concerned. I understood at the time why the team might want to take a chance and let them go, but didn't seem to pan out.
Not going to happen. Sorry to say, but after the kidney stone of the parting passed, methinks they aren't going to bring them back to release them again to the same gnashing of teeth some weeks hence.
HERE HERE WHAT I SAW SATURDAY IS PRETTY SAD. WE NEED SOME HEART OUT THERE. WAYNE SHAW HAS NEVER BEEN GOOD ENOUGH TO REPLACE ROB. HE DOES NOT PLAY WITH HEART. LET SANDY BEVERIDGE GIVE IT A TRY HE HAS BEEN AROUND AND WANTS. THE JOB. HITCHCOCK COULD INSPIRE THE PLAYERS IF ONLY ON SPECIAL TEMMS. AS FOR MIKE THE HARDER HE IS HIT THE TIGHTER HE HANGS ON NOT SO WITH THE PLAYERS I SEE NOW. :?
I agree with the sigh comments... but could those gentlemen be persuaded to become coaches? It may be true that the best is behind them (or not), but they can certainly be mentors.
