Booing bruce? Or saying Bruuuuuuuuce

Last night was the fans booing bruce or just yelling bruuuuuce? I couldnt tell. Its a shame if they were booing him.

Perhaps they were trying to say "Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuce" and they lost the power of "lubricated" pronunciation? LMAO

Most of the people involved were probably trying to cheer him on, I would think. Isaac Bruce got the same serenade in the Edward James Dome for years as a St. Louis Ram and I am sure has received it in Monster Park as a Niner.

I suspect that as soon as Bruce gets in as a regular on offense, it will be easier to discern cheers from boos, however it winds up!

Oski Wee Wee,

Every Time He Touched the Field Brrruuuuccccccceee

Do you think AAAARRRRRRLLLLLAAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDD would be better?

I thought fans were booing him. I was not in favour of him coming to the Hammer but don't think booing is appropriate not that he is here. As fans, and paying customer's, it is your choice. But to show your support, we should cheer.

Running AB out of town makes more sense than the constant occurance of runnig QB's out of town before they play a down

We, at the top of 29/30 were yelling Bruuuccceee. Concencus among us - we're glad AB3 is here and too bad he didn't get more touches. Worked good as a decoy though. Maybe next week against Esks things will be different for him.
Two teams same record 3 and 2. They just came off 2 big games, down 22 points and won and beat highly rated Als. Should be a GREAT game.

Yep it was definitely Bruuuuuccceeee and not booooooo.

I agree. I wasn’t in favour of it to start, but if he can contribute and stay out of trouble, all the better for us.

It wasn't booing Bruce, give your head a shake unless you don't want the Cats to win, then there could be some boos but these are probably from closet Argo fans who go to Cat games pretending they're Cat fans, and I bet there are a few of them to be honest. People who cheer on Toronto teams, thinking they live in Toronto but live in Hamilton for cheaper housing prices but work in Toronto or GTA.

It was definately Bruuuuuce from me and around where i was.

On one of the kick returns I was yelling Bruuuuuuce at one point. Some dude further down turned to me and asked "You yelling Bruuuce or booing?" I jokingly said "I'll tell you after the play, depends on how many yards he gets" The guy gave me the dirtiest look and started talking out the side of his mouth. If I was even a few feet closer I would've cuffed him with my horn. Some people really need to relax.

Why would anyone boooo one of our own players when he hasn't even done anything yet. There seem to be some people on here who lump him in with Hitler just because he did some crazy touchdown dances when he played for another team.

I sat 13 rows above our bench last night in my usual seat. From what I observed some people booded AB3
when he entered the field. The majority of fans appauled his efforts. One thing I did notice - he stuck to Kevin Glenn on the sidelines. I am the first person to criticize Bruce when he played for the pink team. However, things have changed and we have a very talented individual who appears to want to start new and fit in. I suggest we all give this guy our support and let him work his magic. This guy is a game breaker and adds some serious talent to our team. The next Ars*& game should be a liitle payback from AB3.....................

Hitler? ROTFL. Talk about exagerating. People do't like Arlands antics, thats all. Nothing more nothing less. The Hitler comment is bordering on insanity

Maybe to end the confusion we should yell AB3. Too bad he chose jersey #4. 3 would have fit but maybe Beswick didn't want to give it up.

We definity have to not cheer Bruuuce since it sounds so much like a Boo. Then again maybe some one on the team reading these posts will pass him the message.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. How you can hate the guy that’s gunna make himself AND Rodriguez shine, i’ll never know. While your at it, become and Argo fan and then you can boo the whole team as well, tools fit in well in toronto.

Its quite simple actually. You don't have to like the guy even if he's your best player. Happens all the time with lots of players in lots of sports in lots of cities. Just because you don't like one player doesn't mean you hope he hurts the team. There is a very long list of players that I didn't want on teams that I followed and it never made me less of a fan of those teams. Hopefully Bruce contributes to keep people like me quiet at the stadium but you can bet that the silence is not an indication of a sudden love for him. Bruce has a football lifetime of transfgressions that cannot be suddenly forgotten by many. At least the hecklers are not hypocrites like many who suddenly love the guy while spewing filth just 2 weeks ago. Most hecklers here are acting within bounds of good taste unlike some of the comments about him when he was on the Blue team.

In TORONTO today, the fans will certainly be going at it full force:

BOOOOOOOOOOOOZE!!!

Could be interesting to see what would happen in the Hammer if the placed were declared “DRY” for a game.

Actually, I’ll start a thread on that.

PJAY

Really man, you really thought I was saying that people actually put him in the same class as Hitler? I never eye roll people, but you get one here.

Interesting and amusing JFL.
Looks like we'll all have to find a new scapegoat to use as the personification of evil. Maybe that old scottish bag from England's got talent. :frowning:
