I will give the WBB credit for hanging in there , not giving up and taking advantage of the Stamps lapse of focus and execution.
Problem is the O is just not looking sharp right now.
Oh, maybe we are just a bit spoiled here in Stamp land.
I gotta agree with ya “brihind”…A win is a win…but is it just me or does it seem like there is something missing from this team that was there last year ?
The one thing I can say about this game is that it indeed has given me hope as a Cat fan. The Bombers could’ve very easily pulled off the upset in this one and played with the Stamps equally all game long. This game just told me that although the Stamps have a league leading 10-3 record that they aren’t as strong or good as that record indicates. On paper and on the field in reality I think that we can all agree that we all thought that on the onset this game had all the makings of a blowout victory for the Stamps. If a team like the Bombers can come within a hair breath of knocking off the league leaders then I have to think that the game next week in Hamilton ,rookie QB or not is suddenly looking like a very winnable game for the Cats.
Keep the faith (I know it’s hard) Bomber fans, I really feel that you are closer than you think to once again being a competitive team who will compete for a playoff spot on a regular basis year in and year out. You played and scared the hell out of the top team in the league all game long. It’s unfortunate how the game ended up for ya’s. I think personally you deserved the victory and a better fate on Friday night.
Yes BOBO, something is missing . I knew it woud be closer then the last time these 2 met. I just did not think they would be sloppy. When you have an underdog ( WPG ) keeping it close with a heavy favorite (CGY ), it gives the confidence and at the same time makes the favorite nervous.
I do not expect the Stamps to blow out every game, but this is the wrong time of the season to start screwing up.
As for the Cats, I think they are still a contender. I like the fact that they have had the bye and give Matthews extra prep time.
With the help of Austin, Condell and Collaros , he could not ask for any better set up.
Win or loose, if he has a good game against the Stamps, it should give him confidence the rest of the way.
BTW, they can just ignore the Wpg - Cgy film. That is not the team they will face.
