Bombers trade for Garrett

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers football club have completed a trade with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, acquiring defensive back Kevin Garrett.

In return, Winnipeg dealt a negotiation list player and future considerations.

Garrett (5-9, 195, DOB: July 29, 1980 in San Benito, Texas) dressed in the final four regular season games with the Calgary Stampeders in 2007 after being released by the Carolina Panthers. He was originally a fifth round draft pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2003. Garrett played nine games with the Rams in 2003 and 14 in 2004 before moving on to the Houston Texans.

Good thing or bad thing??

...Don't know too much about this guy....seems we're scrambling already in the db. dept.....ouch..

He isn’t a corner which is what we really need but we need all the help we can get.

At least the veterans haven't been going down, yet. Just the tc fodder at this point.
