Bombers told to make their loan payments or else

Nothing really new there, since the said delay and CIBC loan agreement, the re-payments to the Province were always going to work out to $180 million as opposed to the original $171-$176 million.

Although Mr. Brodbeck has two big fibbs in his writing........... number 1, that the loan agreement was for 40 years, which it never was, it was 45 years, 5 without interest to pay back $15 million then 40 years to pay back the last 70. Number 2 is making it seem like phase one is a new feature on the deal or somehow means that taxpayers are paying more out of there pockets, which is false, the Bombers are responsible for their loan and the Polo Park development revenue was always planeed to pay back the province and city $75 plus interest.

…Brodbeck was against this new stadium from the beginning…At least he’s being his old cynical, consistently complaining, misinformed self …Nothing should ever be attempted according to him…Much to risky just breathing air  …This is for you Brodbeck :thdn: :thdn: :thdn:

Of course HfxTC starts another bomber stadium bashing thread, though at least he provided a source. Mind you he then conveniently avoided posting the comments from Miller in response to the Selinger ones in his orignal post that said the bombers are on track to make all loan obligations for this season.

Now that may very well change if paid attendance falls out the last couple of home games. Miller did a more detailed sit down for the Free Press today, should be in the paper tomorrow.

Someone else posted Miller’s comments. Miller saying the bills will be paid is like Bushko saying the stadium is on time.

Except there was visual evidence the stadium would not be done in time when Buchko made his comments while Miller makes his comments even as the team is meeting its attendance and sales goals in order to be on financial track to meet all its financial demands in spite of a poor season on the field. So yes the same, but just different.
