With the Winnipeg Blue Bombers winless in their first four games, the changes have begun.

TSN has learned former Bombers defensive back Stanford Samuels has signed with the team.

Currently, the Blue Bombers defensive unit ranks last in the league in total yards, passing yards and passing touchdowns allowed.

Samuels left the Bombers on bad terms and signed with the Edmonton Eskimos as a free agent last season.

But when asked earlier this week about the possibility of Samuels signing in Winnipeg, Blue Bombers' general manager Brendan Taman said he would be willing to let bygones be bygones.

"We're all about winning here," Taman told the Winnipeg Free Press. "If he's the guy we decide that's going to help us win games, I will put my personal agenda aside in a second to do that."

The Blue Bombers host the high-powered Calgary Stampeders on Thursday (TSN 8pm et/5pm pt).

Its the offense that seems to need a boost too, all the best to them and it would be interesting to see Dinwiddie get a full start.

He's an injury replacement, for now.

Yes, if anything us and the rest of the league will see what dreamy eyes is made of. While I think he did 'OK' I make a point not judge him on the Grey Cup game in his first pro start ever. Especially considering the game was within a TD and KJ the league MVP (I can say this safely since he's not a rider anymore) too be honest, sucked.

Samuels will be a nice contributor to the defence. Now that Johnson and Samuels are back on DB teams will have harder times picking at the weakest links.

Yes our offence needs to get moving. From a team who had 3 receivers over the 1,000 yard mark and a QB who threw for over 5,000 yards last season to this!!! The offence needs some motivation and hopefully Dinwiddie brings that.

GO BLUE!!
