Bombers sign import LB Chad Nkang and DL Jarrell Chang

They may not be household names yet, but the Winnipeg Blue Bombers hope they will be within a few months.

The club announced Thursday the signing of two imports, linebacker Chad Nkang and import defensive lineman Jarrell Chandler.

Nkang (5-11, 215, Elon University) was a seventh-round draft choice of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2007 and played in all 16 regular-season games and two postseason games with the Jags. He excelled on special teams that season, setting a single-season franchise record with 30 special teams tackles.

Chandler (6-2, 265, Salisbury) and had an outstanding senior season in 2008 for the Sea Gulls, finishing the season with 21.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks to rank among the Division III national leaders in both categories. He was named to the 2008 Division III All-America Coaches All-America Team and the AP Little All-America Second Team.

nkang looks like he can play both db and lb.. kids got special team skills tho and he's still young.

good couple signings here.

would still like to see a few more db's brought in tho.

how many guys do we normally bring to camp? if 70 we have atleast 10 more guys to bring in. if more, more than 10.

u look on our roster right now and im almost tempted to remove lefors and westwood (i doubt either will be back).. so id suspect we still need 10-15 signings b4 camp begins here.
