Bombers sign draft picks Dunn and Swiston

From the Bombers website:

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced that they have come to terms with two of their draft picks from the 2011 CFL Draft, non-import offensive linemen Brendan Dunn and Paul Swiston.

Dunn (6-7, 285, Western Ontario, DOB: August 21, 1988 in Toronto, Ontario) was the Blue Bombers' third round selection (17th overall) in this year's CFL Draft. He began his collegiate career as a defensive lineman but switched to the offensive line after two years. Last season, Dunn was part of an offensive line that helped lead the CIS in rushing yards per game (253.7).

Swiston (6-9, 342, Calgary, DOB: May 26, 1989 in Calgary, Alberta) was drafted in the fourth round (24th overall) after coming off an impressive season where he was named the Canada West Lineman of the Year. He started all eight games at left tackle and anchored an offensive line that paved the way for the Calgary rushing attack which was tops in the conference by more than 600 yards. Swiston was also named a Canada West All-Star and a second team All-Canadian.

The Blue Bombers have also announced that they have signed import wide receiver, Greg Betterson to a contract.

Betterson (6-0, 200, Delta State, DOB: June 3, 1986 in Niagara Falls, New York) was a star receiver for Delta State University and caught 45 passes for 639 yards and nine touchdowns in his final season of Division II football. He prides himself on being a go-to receiver in the clutch, as he caught three game-winning touchdowns - one in overtime and one with 20 seconds left on the clock.
