Bombers gain some 'shock' value

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers added some experience to their receiving corps today with the addition of Shockmain Davis to the team’s developmental roster. As per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Davis (6-0, 206, Angelo State ’99, DOB: Aug. 20, 1977 in Port Arthur, Texas) attended training camp with the Toronto Argonauts earlier this year and was one of the team’s final pre-season cuts.

Prior to his time in Toronto, Davis spent parts of two seasons with the Green Bay Packers (2004-05). In 2004 he was allocated to the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe, where he hauled in 27 catches for 331 yards and one touchdown. He was named to the All-NFL Europe team as a special teams player, leading the league in kick returns with 10 returns for 571 yards and two TDs. He finished the year with 926 combined yards.

Davis also spent time with the NFL’s New England Patriots (2000-03) after signing with the club as an undrafted free agent. He appeared in 12 games in his rookie season, including one start, and had two receptions for 12 yards.

“With the recent injury setback of Albert Johnson III, we needed a wide receiver to come in and give us another option,? said Bombers G.M. Brendan Taman.

“After seeing Shockmain in NFL Europe, we thought he was the best available guy to bring in, especially since he already knows the CFL from when he was in Toronto’s camp.?

Taman still collecting cast offs

...and Darnell MacDonald was aaaaaa

Camp fodder! Oh by the way he was not cut from the Bombers!

let’s see what this does for the Blue next week.

now Winnipeg will win the Cup  with him on board

is yo murphy asking too much to play this year?

I don’t know if the Bombers can win the Grey Cup now, but they can make it their if their is a CO, the West is looking a bit weak this year.

...yeah, you just go right on thinking that....

those stats cant be right.....he would have a 57.1 yard average on kick returns.......

Ya thats right pigeseye, he would have to drink rocket fuel to produce those stats.....oh well we give him a try, you never know ...he might be a gem..

we signed another return man because ours got injured. we never said anything about winning the cup, and who cares if things didnt work out in toironto for him. darnell macdonald wasnt cut by us, but we didnt try to get him back when he was becoming a free agent either. anthony malbrough was a so called "cast off" and he can blanket stegal, blanketted ben cahoon all night friday.

What Flight get injured what a pity I told you he was injury prone.
