Good timing!
Bombers coming off a spectacular loss vs a near cellar -dweller. Lawler’s presence should take a ton of physical concern off guys like Schoen, Demski, McCrae & Wolitarsky who were taking a shellacking after receiving balls from Collaros. Especially Schoen who’s been a bit wonky since Game 1.
Lawler tends to catch in open space and find sidelines or goal lines fairly quickly and doesn’t subject himself to as much abuse as other Bomber possession receivers.

Saving Grace for Elks is Mountain O’Shea likes to keep games vs. so-called low-life teams close. Don’t know why. Just know the Bombers are fully capable of playing up to the level of top teams but by the same tokens they tend to too easily descend to the depths of the low-lifes!

Me neither.

A group of us confused fans wondered if O’Shea was bored. Maybe being the favorite to win every single week was dulling his blade. Like that luckless gambler in the Twilight Zone who wished that he couldn’t lose but then discovered that it was the battle against uncertainty that he really craved.

After years of being way above the rest in a nine team league maybe the only way O’Shea could get his rocks off was to keep the ‘easy games’ close.
