WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced on Tuesday the team has added for American players, including quarterback Darren Grainger, defensive end Brandon Wright, defensive back Russell Dandy and receiver Penny Hart.
The Bombers were fairly high on Grainger in training camp before he got hurt. I guess he’s back in the mix again along with Dolegala and Scott, and perhaps Wilson. May the best prospect win the backup spot!
At least they’re all prospects and not strictly short yardage. Expand the playbook in practice and see who has what it takes.
Not sure how mobile Grainger would be at that weight…but probably hard to take down. 
It certainly doesn’t appear that they have much confidence in Wilson.
Personally, I’m intrigued by Brandon Wright, a 6 foot 2, 250 pound running back converted into a defensive end. Maybe he’ll be one of those Kyle and Dan finds that turn out to be a real gem.
