Is the entire Bomber’s coaching staff Canadian yet?

No. The bombers have several american coaches including their defensive co-ordinator and QB coach.

Thanks! It was more of a rhetorical, tongue-in-cheek question though.

Its amazing. The stamps are so maligned as a team and franchise, yet everyone still wants our coaches and players, lol. Might be the Winnipeg Stampeders now.

Really? Bolduc has spent the majority of his coaching career in Montreal and only made a brief pit stop in Calgary last year. Jean came from Montreal. I discerned this from reading the article.

Sorry, but nobody generally wants Calgary cast offs any more now that they are the worst team in the league. It ain’t 2018. It was a compliment to their organization for some time that other teams went after a lot of their players, but now that honour belongs to the Bombers and Argos. I also expect there is that sinking ship feeling in Calgary and that many players and coaches aren’t dying to be standing around when the inevitable axe falls on Dickenson.

Really? Because Killam and Monson sure found employment quickly, as did Mark Mueller last season. Juwan Simpson sure found work. Vaughters and Logan were sure welcomed in Winnipeg. As were QBs Maier and Stevens in Sask. That’s only off the top of my mind from this year. Want me to go on you do you realize your error ?

Not an error. All teams lose coaches and players to other teams every year. Calgary lost some but less than they used to is my point and the Bombers and Argos lost the most. There is also a difference in my view from another team picking up a fired coach like Kilam and poaching a non fired coach like Buck Pierce or asst GM like Ted Goveia. If you fire someone they are no longer associated with your team and can’t be considered to be poached.

The Argo guys were all ours! And Winnipeg lost only a couple. Really not near what Calgary did over the years,

last year Mark Mueller was poached, if you want to look at just this year fine, but taht is a very small body of work compared to all the years since 2018 and even before that

Many of those guys (Kilam, Monson, Vaughters, Rose, Maier) were fired or let go by Calgary, after the Stamps missed the playoffs. That’s not really “poaching” or a ringing endorsement. It just means the Stamps are making big changes following a disappointing season.

Killam probably goes to EDM even if not fired. And it really doesn’t matter if they are poached or available because they are fired/released. They are clearly desired commodities, especially to be picked up so quickly

what would you do without all those Stamp players/coaches you’ve hired over the years because you can’t find the like yourself?

That’s every team, though. Not sure how/why Calgary is special.

Not to the same degree, of the 9 current CFL Head coaches, 5 started their coaching careers in Calgary, and probably more coming in the next few years. Beat that.

I mean, sure, console yourself with trivia if that makes you feel better about your team being the worst in the league last year. Get yourself a hot breakfast or something.

Wow, this fan comes back after an absence and emefiatky picks fights with two or three fan bases.

I don’t even consider it picking a fight, just a rather transparent and pitiable attempt to recreate a bygone era when the Stamps were the class of the league. Which is emphatically not the case in 2025.
