Bomber News and Discussion 2025

I noticed that unlike for other teams and for past years that there has been no Bomber general thread established for 2025 so here it is. Bomber fans need their own biased thread full of (often unsubtantiated) braggadacio. I am tired of reading the proliferation of BS in other team threads so we may as well join them.

First up is an article about the Bombers great financial success once again in 2024.

From the article it appears that another $8.6 million was allocated elsewhere.

The Bombers entered into an agreement with the Manitoba government and Triple B Stadium Inc. in 2021 that established a capital fund dedicated to long-term stadium improvements. In 2024, the franchise allocated $7.6 million to the fund at $1 million to its operating reserve.

That allowed the Bombers to proceed with significant upgrades throughout the facility. Last year, $7.1 million was invested into numerous projects, including the replacement of the turf and field wall at Princess Auto Stadium.

This is clearly the gold standard. We are lucky to be fans of the best run and most profitable and most successful team in the league, all in which is relatively speaking the league’s most competetive market. This year profits should be through the roof thanks to the Grey Cup game.

Now go Jets!

Thank you, Jon for starting this discussion. Yesterday I checked my contributions to the forum, and found I haven’t posted anything relating to FOOTBALL since Feb.10. This is a great inspiration to me to take a break from politics, misgovernment, worries about Social Security and Medicare and oversized, crabby, seventy-eight year old infants and defense secretaries that don’t understand SECURITY.
But before I leave that horrible subject; my hat is off to the Blue Bombers, the people of Manitoba, and Bomber fans everyhere. I even want to give props to The SSK Roughriders. I believe that the Bombers and Riders prairie rivalry makes both teams work harder to be the best they can be, and that is all for the best. I’ve been watching more and more Labour Day and Banjo Bowl videos recently and can’t wait for the upcoming editions.
My best wishes to the Blue Bombers, the CFL and to the Dominion of Canada and its people; the most undeserving victims of the Gross Pumpkin’s enmity. ELBOWS UP!
