I just saw that the Argos released Bailey just before we play them (along with a couple others). Anyone know any details on this? Have to think it would have been something Bailey would have been pumped for. Also have to think weâll scoop him up pretty quickly.
It sounded like a ratio issue. Hopefully, the Bombers will pick him up, but they also have Lucky waiting in the wings. But Bailey would be an immediate improvement in the receiving corps with his receiving and blocking skills.
I think Bailey jumps lucky pretty easily.
Yes it appears to be a ratio issue.

Wow, they must be screwed on ratio to release their second most productive receiver.
More bad news for the Bombers injury wise.
Just heard on the radio that Kyrie Wilson, Bryan Cole and Bailey Feltmate have all been 6 gamed today.
Wilson especially hurts. According to the CFL drill down stats he was ranked the #2 linebacker in the league last year and the stats this week have him in the top 5 this year. He is easily their best linebacker and one of the top 5 in the league in addition to being perhaps the most underrated player in the league. That one will really hurt.
That sucks. You guys could feel a second team from all the injuries.
We could almost field an allstar team (well former allstars) of guys on 6 game IR this year
Iâve defended Wilson for years vs a certain poster, but much like Jeffcoat he just canât seem to stay healthy. Hope he can come back strong.
Iâm thinking bailey Feltmate may of dislocated his elbow since how he was holding it gave me flashbacks to seeing Cj Gable & Andy Fantuz dislocate there elbows during the same game in 2015. The fact he was 6 gamed and injury reports said elbow means iâm likely right
No doubt its a good thing Noah Hallett is back now and that Nick Hallett & Owen Hubert can play on special teams with Feltmate being out
Ben Grant from 3DownNation speaking truth to the Bombers woes. That O-Line is horrendous!
Of those 38 dropbacks, they were hurried nine times, hit five times, knocked down three times, and sacked five timesâŚIn other words, the quarterbacks were disrupted in some way on 22 of 38 called passing plays. Thatâs 58 percent of the time. Zach Collaros was physically contacted by Toronto defenders on over 35 percent of his passing plays, which is simply too many.
Against a three or four-man rush, Collaros was disrupted 52 percent of the time, sacked 19 percent of the time, and physically contacted 33 percent of the time.
No one would be able to succeed under these circumstances, and unfortunately we likely wonât see any signing or reinforcements on this front. Likely we will sign more glamourous scraps like Whitehead, Bailey, etc before experienced O-linemen.
Kyrie Wilson is a top LB - but heâs also a top chronic injury guy, too!
Wonder if they would consider re-activating Geoff Gray for 9-game balance of season even if Gray has moved onto a promising engineering career? Gray is not a dominant OL/G but heâs serviceable. Certainly an incremental upgrade if Gray returns. Gotta somehow find an NFL castoff (usually undersized OTs) that can be plugged into a variety of CFL o-line positions.
As for Rasheed Bailey, Mountain Man OâShea was very sheepish when asked about Bailey last nite on CJOB radio call-in. He just kept babbling about how âhe liked his current guysâ over and over again.
Just finished reading this article and it sums up my opinion of the Bomberâs stuggles. The biggest problem with correcting it is that reliable O-linemen are a premium commodity and not easily found, especially mid-season.
I donât see any chances for fixes in the immediate future.
Anybody know what next yearâs draft class looks like for O-linemen? Bombers are looking to get some high picks at this rate. Free agency?
What do you think the guy who is not the GM is going to say about roster moves while keeping the current roster focused?
Even the GM doesnât negotiate through the media.
Not only for the Bombers, but I can see how this situation is at hand somewhat more for one or two slots on each offensive line for the CFL with the existence of the UFL, for which its players are under contract through the end of the calendar year yet are free to explore NFL opportunities after the UFL season yet still have a potential slot in the UFL.
This means for any recruiting south of the border beyond only for linemen, the timeframe of October through December is critical, for thatâs the crossroads for many such players of pro talent and experience, though not making the NFL cut including shifting around many practice rosters, who are in the UFL and would look at a new opportunity in the CFL in 2025.
Iâll give Case 1 more half of football to see if anything is there. We are 9 weeks into the season and the Bombers have yet to find a productive replacement for Janarion Grant. After that, put Whitehead back there. See what he can do for you.
Mike Miller must be seeing something Iâm not. I was not a fan of leaving Mitchell as the returner for so many weeks and Chris smith was actually doing quite well for himself. Unfortunate that he got the hook as soon as Case was available. Like the great Shania Twain once said - He dont impress me much
