Bold Predictions?

The Rider fans will come to the Banjo Bowl with three dozen grain trucks and try to steal our stadium. The get confused in the big city and have no idea what a university is so end up stealing 300 feet of our floodway and 30,000 egg crates.

What’s so bold about that prediction?

…seems quite accurate…They can have the ol digs (canadinns) if they can bring in enough trucks…They could resurrect the old stadium and put a roof on it…presto …they have their domed venue…I have to chuckle when a picture that effort

bump

Always good to look back, or ahead.

More on speculation/opinion than a prediction: Burris could end up in Winnipeg? Just saying…ect.

Here are my bold predictions.... Henry Burris will be traded to Toronto in the off season. Buck Pearce will return to Winnipeg for another season, as will Paul Lapolice. Lindsay Lohan will be in some type of legal trouble in 2012. Mike Kelly will resurface somewhere in the CFL as a asst coach in 2012

…Henry in the Peg???..More like argoland…But you never know in this ‘at times’ zany league

not with Pierce, Brink and Elliott.

if Pierce for some reason doesn’t re-sign (I highly highly doubt that will happen) and Burris doesn’t mind fighting for a job with the other two it’s plausible but still unlikely… so I’d say pretty safe to say we don’t look at Burris

And not with Burris’ current contract. He still has a year left on the extension he signed in 2009 so unless he’s released by the Stamps and signs for a heck of a lot less money, no way.

I can’t see Calgary getting rid of Burris at this point in Tate’s development. Tate hasn’t started a game yet and they don’t have anyone with experience who could back him up if Burris were gone.

It is in the realm of possibilities that the Tate experience may end tonight, at least for this season? I said in the realm of possibilities, so people keep your shorts on please.

Normally I will take the odds against the rookie QB in such an occasion, but this may be the exception to the rule? Tate looked very sharp, mind you nobody gamed for him, he really had little film to view other than short yardage for the most part.

Henry could end up being the star of the game tonight in the 4th qtr, would not really surprise me if Burris was established as the starter again by late tonight.

I don’t see Calgary shipping out Burris either. However, there are a few articles out there pointing to Toronto. But then on the otherhand; you would think that Burris/his agent would have talks with one/two other teams besides Toronto?

bombers wont sign burris.. he's too old.. it just goes against everything mack is doing...

pierce will resign... next year it will be pierce brink elliot... goltz will be gone because he doesnt want to stay on the PR.

burris will be released and end up in toronto.. joffrey reynolds will be released and finish.. same with fred reid..

obby khan will be released also.

burris to winnipeg is ridiculous, I for one would be shocked. Mack has shown he’s not going to sign aging retreads from other teams. TO on the other hand, if jim barker sticks around, is a pretty good bet. He only stays in Calgary if he takes a paycut. Reynolds is probably done in cowtown too, unless he shows he can well as #2 behind cornish and takes a paycut as well. Neither will keep starter’s money if they expect to stay in calgary.

Speaking of Barker, my guess is he’s given an ultimatum - HC or GM, steps aside to focus on being GM, hires O’Shea as the next HC.

My guess is that Fred Reid/Garrett will have to battle it out in training camp. Garrett’s performance at the end of this season gives him a leg up and if Reid is at all not ready for TC he will be done, at least in Wpg. Khan either is released to look for a job elsewhere or retires. Even if he is released there is a chance he resigns for a day to retire. With Greaves getting a shot now, Sorensen is still on the roster and could be a younger versatile backup, plus Swiston taking in the year from the IR, there’s enough young depth to move on.

Hamilton hasn’t met expectations this year IMO and when you start doing a QB rotation this late in the year, I don’t think it’s a good sign. My prediction there is that they fall to the basement of the east next year behind TO, Bellefeuille loses his job partway through the season, they convince danny mcmanus to come back to finish up the season as HC.
