Looks like the south end will get a temporary extended grandstand like that for the 2016 Grey Cup while the north end will receive a similar temporary structure right down to and on top of the Argo's north end zone.
I wonder if the bottom portion of the north stand will be only for the World Cup or will be a permanent feature for soccer going forward while retracting away for CFL football.
In any case it looks like the Lions and Argos will both need to hit the road for a long stretch of their 2026 campaigns
Looks good, I like the idea of a 1,000 capacity “Roof Top” patio.

I like this one better than the other thread!
The city will cover $123 million of the upgrade costs, while Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) will invest $23 million.
So the Federal Government gives TOR $105M towards the World Cup
No wonder no non CFL teams cities can afford a Stadium
Feds giving Toronto more than $104M to host 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Where does it say that?
The city will cover $123 million of the upgrade costs, while Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) will invest $23 million.
Most stadiums in the CFL receive public funding to build or renovate because it was part of a larger event.
Tim Horton’s Field was because of the 2015 Pan Am Games for example
Even the original construction of BMO Field was because of the 2007 U-20 World Cup
I know that
What I’m saying
Instead of the feds investing $150M in upgrades,
invest $150M in potential Cities that need a stadium
Like Fredricton, QC, London, Windsor, or Halifax
A bigger stadium will only make Argo games look more empty
Yeah it would be nice if any of these cities and more importantly provinces put a bid together for an event that will get funding from all levels of government towards a stadium.
True but they are going to be temp stands in either end, will be gone by the first Argo game.
Still like the idea of the roof top bar
