Blue Jays swinging for the fences?

Like Ohtani was ever going to sign with the Blue Jokes…

I feel like you guys would be destroying the Jays and Rogers if they spent $750 million and landed Ohtani … But that’s just me.

This is a much better outcome in the long run for the Jays and their fans IMHO. The circus show with Ohtani would have not worked out well for the Jays I think, now they can concentrate more on their team rather than some demi-god trying to “save the day” sort of thing with a media circus setting all season long.

No…I’d just love watching them crash and burn with a $700 million dollar DH who’s coming off his 2nd elbow surgery…

Hitting

Player GP GS AVG AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO OBP SLG OPS
J.D. Martinez DH 113 111 .271 432 61 117 27 2 33 103 1 0 34 149 .321 .572

The Dodgers may be moving their DH Martinez . He had great numbers in much less than a full season ( 113 games) .

Better money spent by the Jokes…

Jays acknowledge the ticket sales were in error but are now honouring the listed prices

Hope all of you locals took advantage of it while it lasted

He does make $20M/yr in endorsements so there is that

Imagine the Jays signing a player to a contract like Ohtani? American media would call for Rogers to be stripped of the team.

Ohtani, the $700M man that the Jays tried to sign,
didn’t make it to the 2nd inning yesterday in pre season
Also HUGE illegal bookie scandal news to boot

I don’t think Ohtani pictched yesterday.
