Black Out Rules

The Esks/Bombers game was not broadcast in HD. You didn't miss anything.

If the game is 95% sold-out 24-hours before kickoff, the broadcaster can demand that the blackout be lifted (which increases their TV ratings).

I believe the current TV contract requires each team to lift the blackouts for two home games.

Then it is up the discretion of each team to decide if they will lift the blackouts for other home games.

It is fairly proven that televising CFL home games when the stadium is not soldout leads to weaker season ticket sales in years to come.
