One more “Ford” dealership in Winnipeg would be perfect. Bookend the offence and defence with some brotherly love. Collaros is in sunset mode.
I hope Vernon Adams helps the team but I think there is more needed than a change in players. I wondered last year whether our defensive coaching was a problem. I’ve also for a number of years wondered whether the ownership group had the passion for making the Stampeders great or whether they were a Flames organization that also owned the Stampeders as a side gig. When I read the article in 3down nation on former stampeders evaluation of the organization I thought that might confirm my suspicions. It appears the organization is not only cheap when it comes to extending some key players but in every area from facilities to workout equipment to the food they provide for the players. Until we become a truly professional organization again and match what other teams are doing I’m not sure we’re not just shuffling the chairs on the Titanic.
The Stamps need a new stadium and player facilities. McMahon is a decaying relic.
Bit of a surprise. Wonder who Calgary keeps out of who they still have.

Dave will want to keep ‘next best arm’ Jake Maier but he might be a wee bit too pricey. All of the other qbs from last year’s failed roster will have to submit 1000 word essays and agree to work as cleaning staff in the off season or they won’t be invited back.
It’s what I find funny about the situation. Calgary has kept landing back on the “play Jake Maier” square because when allowed to play HIS game - he has been their best option.
And if he’s cheap enough he’ll be their best option again when VA is inevitably injured (hopefully not) for a third of the season like usual.
DD want’s the “BLM Offence” where they pre-snap read, get the ball out fast and let YAC yards carry the offence.
Problem is you need a stout run game to keep guys from getting to the ball before the receiver to make that work.
I hope Jake Maier can be the back up but playing, I really enjoyed watching him
IMHO, VAJ makes the Stamps instantly better. Except at Mosaic stadium, Maier isn’t a winner. Good move on their part.
Let’s hope the excitement over Adams in Calgary translates into increased season ticket sales. The stadium looks alarmingly empty for home games these days. Wasn’t that long ago they put good crowds in there.
The current state of the stadium are keeping some fans away for the time being.
Neither the University and/or the ownership along with the city are doing anything in terms of addressing the issues on hand.
Yeah a lot of people I talk to say the decrepit condition of the stadium is keeping fans away. I attend about six Stamps games a year and a part from the blowhard constantly yapping over the P A system the place is pretty quiet. The team would perform better with a good sized crowd cheering them on. Maybe then Mr. Megaphone wouldn’t be deemed necessary
