Dangerous to who? Other eastern teams?

If they're a danger to themselves or others by law we can have them taken into custody. It might be for the best if MacBeth was required to start next game wearing a straight jacket and ball gag similar to the one Anthony Hopkins wore in 'Silence of The Lambs'.

Safety first! :grinning: :+1:

BETHEL-THOMPSON ON ARGOS WIN: ‘WE’RE A DANGEROUS TEAM’

  • Have not beaten a team with a winning record this season

  • Only team in the league to lose to both Ottawa and Hamilton this year

Give me a call when you have beaten either Winnipeg or Calgary. Until then, sit down and be quite.

They might not figure out how to beat a Western Team until sometime next season. If there's a breakthrough in the meantime can the Argos leave a message on your phone if you're out shopping?

You guys are all talking smack but keep forgetting the Argos have won more Grey cups since 1982 then any other team. Just realize now that either Montreal, Toronto, or Saskatchewan will be in the Grey Cup this year. If that doesnt scare you, then nothing will.

Let’s not forget that they have had a huge advantage coming out of the East. They wouldn’t have won a lot of those if they played in the West.

I've been scared by lots of stuff. Most of it having something to do with the cost of living or some crazy guy trying to destroy democracy south of the border.

Only need to make it to the game. Look at 2017. A very average team squeaked by Sask in the East final, the beat the league best Stampeders for the Grey Cup.

Insomniacs....good one.
Toronto is very beatable. They’re great at beating the bottom half of the league.

[/quote] Dear Jon, if the Argos won the most Cups since 82 by inference that is a significant accomplishment by any standard and may be a harbinger of a dangerous team in 2022. If the Argos deploy SPEEDY Banks with artful precision they will be dangerous.

It’s possible, but my point is that their perennially easier schedule and perennially easier path to the Cup is a huge advantage. They may not have made it to half those games if they were in the West. There is also one less team to compete against in the East. Comparing the Cups the Argos have won to the Cups won by Western teams is hardly comparing apples to apples. I didn’t think this was controversial. It could rightly be said that historically they are the best Eastern team.

Call me crazy but I think the Argos are a good team. I also think the Allouettes are as well. I don't know about dangerous though.

Other than Ottawa, the eastern teams need someone to point out to them that it's okay to have some confidence, and play like you are expecting to win. And play against your opponent and not yourselves. And do that every game, not just once in a while when your opponent is limping on crutches.

You're crazy. Anything else we can do for you?

No, that works. But thanks anyway. :grinning:

There are still enough games left that any team (except Edmonton I think) is still capable of going on a nice run and looking formidable come playoff time. It’s happened before. Could happen again. We’ll see.
