Selon Didier, Berry et Miller seraient sur le point de perdre leur poste. Il faut croire que Popp ne veut pas tarder pour mettre les postes névralgiques sur le marché, ou faire une promotion.
Pour poursuivre dans la veine du message de Sheldon sur l'autre rubrique, je ne suis pas un grand supporteur de Chapdelaine. Malgré qu'il ait eu tous les outils pour avoir une attaque dévastatrice au cours des 3 dernières saisons, les Lions se sont surtout distingués par leur défensive. La magie a fonctionné une fois, mais par la suite, les choses ont été plus compliquées, se terminant par des revers avant même de se rendre à la Coupe Grey.
LaPolice pourrait être une candidat intéressant en ce qu'il a généralement bien fait lorsqu'il s'est agi de faire progresser des quarts nouvellement arrivés dans la ligue. Avec un quart comme Smith, il pourrait faire du bon travail. Il a aussi dirigé de bonnes attaques au sol. Là où il a été moins performant, c'est pour créer des jeux pour l'attaque aérienne. Ça demeure le pain et le beurre du football canadien.
Considérant que Dickenson ne viendrait pas dans l'Est, les bons candidats d'expérience ne sont pas légion.
Jason Maas demeure une énigme pour moi. Il a fait du bon travail avec les jeunes quarts des Argonauts, mais serait-il prêt à faire le saut comme coordonnateur? Je n'en suis pas convaincu.
Tommy Condell. coordonateur ST a Winnipeg, offensive a Regina, 4 ans avec Austin et a fait du superbe travail a Hamilton cette annee. 42 ans , 4 enfants habite New York.
Il est un candidat intéressant, mais qu’a-t-il bâti lui-même comme attaque? Avec Austin, le cerveau offensif demeure Austin, non?
On disait la meme chose de milanovich avec Trestman… Je le connais pas mais certainement un candidat qui sera interviewer par Ottawa et possiblement d’autres equips.
Je ne connais pas Condell assez pour juger, mais il ne va pas quand meme venir ici simplement pour etre coordinateur.

I too like LaPo for the OC position. Veteran coordinator, knows the league inside and out, smart, likeable and still relatively young. He'll inherit an offense with some talented personnel and a mobile QB around whom he can build an effective zone-read offense.
I was thinking if Popp gives up the HC job.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Anthony announce his retirement and move directly into the QB coach vacancy.

He’s right. They did get better. They did play with 3 rookie quarterbacks. Turnovers were a huge problems for this team. 60 turnovers on offense is unacceptable and that’s on the HC not the coordinators. I have no problem with the changes but replacing coordinator on offense is not a fix all.
That’s not what you were saying earlier in the season, after games in which the offense stagnated for whole quarters or even halves at a time. What about that flea-flicker? The complete failure to roll Smith out of the pocket? Dropping the ball in the return match in Guelph that could have allowed us to host a playoff game? The utter sack of crap we laid in the ESF?
Why are turnovers on the head coach and not the OC + position coaches? Lack of mental focus and/or technical preparation speaks to a failure on the part of ALL coaches involved.
I think getting a new OC will be a huge fix. You yourself agreed with me just a few days ago.
D’un certain point de vue, Berry a raison. L’attaque a progressé. D’abord par un meilleur jeu de la ligne offensive. Ensuite, par un meilleur jeu des receveurs, qui ont été capables de se libérer plus qu’une fois sur quatre. Finalement par une attaque au sol capable de quelque chose, une fois qu’on a décidé de garder Messam sur les lignes de côté.
L’attaque a progressé, mais pas assez. Pas assez pour que ce soit satisfaisant, et ce, même si l’équipe a mieux fini la saison. La fiche de 4-2 a été gagnée d’abord par une victoire de la défensive contre les Roughriders, une victoire éclatante contre les Eskimos, une équipe en perdition, une excellente demie contre les Timinous couplée à une prestation défensive impeccable et une victoire à l’arraché donnée pratiquement par charité par Milanovitch. Dans ces 6 dernières parties, les Alouettes ont connu 4 bonnes demies. Ce n’était pas assez.
I didn’t like his offense, never have and I’m not going to shed a tear at him and Miller not returning but he is right that it did get more productive and that there were some very mitigating circumstances. He was hired as a consultant and took the coordinator job at Popp’s request.

Barker’s always been a giant dbag with some weird hatred for the Alouettes. I don’t know why, since WE are the team that gave him his break in this league. He was OC for us in 2002 when we won the Grey Cup. You’d think he’d have some gratitude, or at least show basic professional courtesy, but apparently not…
