BC Lions/Bombers

Ya think there might be some believers out there now////???..hmmmm…This could have been a slaughter if the Bombers would’ve converted from the red zone early

Bomber O-line dominated!

Bombers go 4-1, BC drops to 2-3 and the league extends their streak to 18 straight boring football games. This is the worst season that I can remember. Absolutely horrible football so far.

Great game bombers!!! Statement game for them, not easy to come off a home loss then come into the Den and beat the Lions very very impressive :rockin: :rockin:

Yup...great game for the Bombers. Full value. Willy is MOP for the quarter season imo.

.....AND listening to the synopsis by tsn about the game tonight...they come up with this nugget...quote...'leos come up short'...Makes you wonder what the hell game they were watching... Message to the tsn braintrust...the leos got their arse kicked...

I was getting a bit ticked with the negative press in Winnipeg this week. It was if we had no chance.I hope they are as positive about this win as they were negative about the last loss.It was dominating as win as the loss lastweek.

Great game for the bombers and in particular our defense. Total domination. Looked like the lions wanted a physical game and the bombers gave them all they could handle! Oline played well, and offense was able to make some things happen.

Yeah it seems the press and even the guys on the panel talk about the bombers like the 'little brother' of cfl teams sometimes. These guys have proven through 5 weeks that we can hang and won't be an easy out no matter where we play!

Go bombers go!!

He’s still pouting/fuming over Ottawa.

That Oline didn’t help him much today. Neither did the playcalling which took out Harris from the playbook in the 2nd half.

Great game for the bomber D-3 FF, 2 INTs, 6 sacks. The offense was much better but our red zone play is a work in progress. If we converted half the kicks into TDs instead of FGs and really made BC pay for their mistakes this game would’ve been over at the half. The team is learning though. This was a great effort to bounce back from last weeks loss to the Esks. This team hasn’t really had much bounce back from losses the last few years, mostly we’d just keep bouncing down the stairs until we hit the basement.

You could say that about at least half the games played so far. Defense rules so far this year and the Bombers D came to play tonight. For years it’s been offense augmented by special teams, but now it’s the defenses time to take centre stage. Unlike last nights sloppy mess the Bombers deserved the win.

So will anyone be able to find all the experts who ripped O’Shea after last weeks loss?

There is a long list of players to vote for Player of the Game, but the guy who scored almost all of Winnipeg's points isn't even a choice! :thdn:

.... All I can say I was glad they could fit the game into the Geroy goodbye....I know now what some other fans were complaining about when Milt exited...Tad overdone BUT kudos to Simon on a great playing career...Sounds like he might find himself a very good position in the riders organization some day...

Why wouldn’t he be? FGs of 49 and 51 yds… those are not chip shots

Bluely noted:

Our QB sneaks are…poor, getting right up there with Boltus-poor (iI know that's Harsh). Can't Knapp or Bryant do sneaks? Maybe we can borrow somebody?

Interviews during games…..absolutely hate them.

Rod Black - sigh, couldn't tell the tackler would not have been Carl Volny? 1min 23 secs. left in the game and they still had a chance? We deserve better.

JFG - MIA did he get in?
RB - MIA - played
LH - all over the action - great job - 2 FGs totalling 100 yards (51,49) awesome!

I don't like that play where they give the ball to Grigsby and supply him with a BC escort - doesn't seem like a good play.
Why not a pitch to the outside….to get around those guys?

Two players we had to stop WERE the two players we did stop. Harris, 38 ru, 23 rec, - Arceneaux, 63 yds. rec.
Good job D

Zac Anderson - strong performance
Aaron Woods - welcome back!
Nick Moore - all over the field in receiving and blocking.
Maurice Leggett - now THAT was safety play.

Welcome to the receiving core, young Carter!

5 penalties. 2 sacks allowed

Grigsby 19 yds. rushing Drew Willy 19 yds.

7 - different receivers last night (no Romby Bryant)
6 - different players got a sack
5 - Fgs a-kicking
4 - quarters a-playing
3 - top BC players a-stopping
2 - interceptions a-grabbing
1 - big win on the West Coast against a Western team so now, can we shut up about it?

Mike Reilly’s been just as good.

As for BC, I’d put them in the same boat as Hamilton. No QB, so it’ll probably be a mediocre season, which is a bit frustrating for BC because they have no shortage of weapons. They need Lulay because this year’s Glenn is not the Glenn of the last few years. He’s on pace to finish with 29 picks.

I 100% agree, what I meant was that he was not listed as an option to choose on the main CFL site. I had to choose “other”

I think Lulay may be coming back in 2-3 weeks, honestly I think he may be smart to sit out till the O-line gets it together or it might be a short return . The Lions weakness has been discovered and is being exploited . Last year Glenn had a very good O-line in front of him and that was the only reason why he was successfull.
