I’m not surprised by this move—I was calling for Williams’ release before the 2024 season.

He’s an average returner and didn’t do enough to justify his high price tag. My rankings:

  • Kickoffs: #4
  • Punts: #6
  • Missed FGs: #2

While solid on missed field goals, he couldn’t tie it all together like Letcher or Grant. He wasn’t bad, but he also didn’t wow. It’ll be interesting to see if BC pursues a free agent like Grant or develops a younger returner for the role.

Right on. Had to get done before the rest of the ST unit.

Punter Flintoft and Snapper Riley Pickett are both pending FAs. The team might roll with Carl Meyer and Kyle Nelson as cheaper options. Wonder if Whyte will get any say in who returns.
