bc lion wants nfl next year what else is knew

I think it's funny. No B.C. receiver had double-digit TDs last season, and if he thinks he's suddenly gonna get 14 playing alongside Geroy Simon and Paris Jackson...

I wish him luck!

...if he did say it...

Simon's too old for the NFL, Jackson has a chance but I doubt it.

It was said that behind the scences a buddy of mine who is a camera operator said that Emmanuel has NFL scouts here looking at him personally. So there you go i bet he is out of here next year. To Bad because they said he caould be our Next Geroy Simon/Mervin Fernandaze if any body remembers him.

When I first heard of Paris Jackson I really had to wonder with that size how he did not end up in the NFL after going to school in Utah even though we know he’s from Vancouver. Guys of that size who can run and catch just do not come around too often.

Any more insight here on Paris Jackson who has been steady with the Lions all the same? Why did he have such a slow start 2003-2004?

His stats 2007-2009, considering he’s had to split receptions with solid teammates Simon and last season Arceneaux, have been nothing short of awesome and I doubt he’s peaked yet but rather is not even close:

But why wouldn’t the NFL scouts be taking quite the hard look at Paris Jackson as well?

I remember Fernandez back in the 1980s in the NFL, and since the 1970s it appears that Al Davis has not changed his recruiting for speed for sake of the wide receiver position. In his search to his ultimate grave it appears now the way the Raiders draft year-in year-out, it appears it’s all about Davis and finding the next “Cliff Branch.”

It looks to me like Fernandez had four decent seasons – rather impressive NFL career for a 10th round pick via the CFL indeed.

The only guy on which Davis succeeded by far, with many busts as well, is in future Hall of Famer in Tim Brown. However the Raiders have not won a Super Bowl since the 1983 season, and Branch got three rings in his time in Oakland/LA.

Here are the NFL stats for Branch and Brown of the Raiders for all curious. Note that Brown was the best by far as well.

Too slow.

If Paris exploded on his first year and played like he is now, he would likely be in the NFL. But his progress was too gradual.

From what I remember he over time earned more and more game time. He didn't immediately become a starting reciever and only recently became a featured reciever. Don't forget that BC has been strong in that area for quite a while and to get a spot isn't easy.

Read this article, he is gone next year.
