I have this as the marquee game of the week and it is the only one featuring two playoff teams. I expect a battle and hope it lives up to the advance billing. There is no reason for either team to give less than 100%.
Unfortunately the game likely won’t mean much on the seeding front for the winner as the simulator odds of BC finishing first are about 3% and Hamilton finishing second are about 15%.
It should mean a lot however to the Alouettes and Bombers as one of them will get the rest of the regular season off depending on who wins and if Hamilton wins and Montreal wins tomorrow both of them will have the rest of the regular season off.
And you missed Flintoff’s excellent earlier punt that went out on the one yard line. As you probably just saw he followed that up with a brutal shank OB which pretty much equated to a turnover on downs.
BC up 3-0 after one quarter. Hamilton has done diddly on offense so far but just gained 40 yards on the shank.
Followed by a brutal pick six orchestrated by Bo just when I was going to say that so far Bo blows. 10-0 BC. If Hamilton wants to win they need to take the Shiltz out of the cooler I think.
TD Hamilton. 10-7 BC (had to wait the Liegghio’s kick to type that). It’s a game. Penalty aided drive although I thought the penalties were well deserved, especially the low, late hit from behind on Bo for the last penalty.
He had a very rough start interception wise. I believe 9 in his first 2-3 games. He has only thrown one tonite but it is the reason his team is behind as it was a Pick 6.
A puzzling ruling to me. If it was ruled the play was dead because of a whistle then they shouldn’t allow the challenge. Otherwise I don’t see how it wasn’t a fumble and a clear recovery by BC. As usual, no real explanation given.
