Red&white , I wasn't whining about the disallowed TD , but rather responding to you making much of how the Lions only scored "7" second half points. The fact is that the BC O' wasn't struggling and were moving along just fine, evidenced by the other "TD" , which they did in fact put into the endzone fair and square, and it should have counted . But it didn't , but the fact remains the Lions still put it there , so maybe don't make so much of the Lions only scored 7 because you know that's bunk. And yes our team still won.
redandwhite, I still fail to see how we were beaten soundly in the second half. One of our touchdown's was called off, and the only time the game was a one score game (within one touchdown) was when you made it down by 8 with about 40 seconds left. While I'm not saying the Lions blew them out for the entire game, I don't really think the outcome was ever in serious doubt for the Lions. Yes, with the game over, technically we won by 8 points, but if you watched the whole game you would know what I'm talking about. This game was not as close as the score seemed, even though the score wasn't even that close anyways. The Lions still covered the spread.
I’m going to come laugh at you in 2 weeks
HAHAHA.... ok... you do that.. but i'll just point at what will be our 9-0 record at that point...
Lions are the class of the League right now, it difficult to predict who will knockem off...especially in the CFL were anyone has the potential, i thought Calgary had a good chance but they fell short.
One thing is for certain they will lose, the odds of going 18-0 would be same as winning a lottery
Good teams tend to be lucky. But when luck occurs long term, that is no fluke. I agree with roarlionsroar that BC tends to flatter opponents by playing to level of competition and doing the minimum to win. On the positive side, at least opponents are not humiliated by lop-sided scores but close scores help build BC character and winning consistency. Someone said that BC is slightly similar to New England patriots in never winning big but winning consistently. Both teams are usually in control during most of games.
Don't know who it will be, but I'm pretty confident it won't happen in week 9. The way the Ti-Cats played against Winnipeg last night, they are gonna get mauled against the Lions. Hamilton's in big trouble, looking at last night's events.
In fact I wouldnt be surprised to see the bombers take both games from the Leos.
When are you guys gonna realise that any team can win on any given night
…exactly, beside penn, RLR, I took my arguments to the other string, you can check them out there or keep taking cheap shots here…
R&W , why do you say I'm taking cheap shots? I'm only responding to what you're saying first . I know this is in 2 threads and you've put your comments into the 2 threads also. I respect your posts as level headed and don't appreciate your refering to a legitamate response as a cheap shot , they're no more a cheap shot than your comment. I'm sorry your taking it that way , but your reading it wrong then . As I've already explained here as well as in that other thread , I'm coming from the perspective of defending against you saying that the BC didn't do anything in the 2nd half , only scored once etc. Why is it ok for you to say stuff , but responses to it are cheap shots ? You saw it as domination by your team and I didn't , that's all , we disagree . Not a big deal and not cheap shots . Anyway I won't comment any further .
Yes… granted… but you have to admit that there are odds of a team that is 2 - 6 or 3 - 5 taking out a team that is 7 - 0… and the odds are heavily in favour of the 7 - 0 team winning the game… therefore it is reasonable to expect the Lions to win both of those games.
i second that
........."cheap shot": when a guy says "I'm finished here", meet me over at the other string, and a poster continues to reply with the realization the one the comments are directed at may never be able to respond........not about anything you said.......and I'm enjoying the debate (not argument) and I respect your views even if I may not agree with them.......
ChronicGuy
I agree with you. Its just that some posters are laughing at the thought of certain teams beating B.C. I doubt that they will be undefeated and they can lose to anyone.
yeah... i have laughed at the people saying the Riders or Bombers are going to be the ones to stop BC's winning streak... i just don't see it happening... the odds are stacked against those teams... they are not on the same level as BC right now... they are not performing well enough to take out BC... sure... they COULD win.... just like i COULD win the 6/49.... but the odds are against me...and chances are i'm not going to win the millions... just like chances are.. those teams will lose to BC... i don't think they can go undefeated either... odds are stacked against that happening too... i won't deny that... but i just think it is going to take one of the 3 other top 4 teams in the league to do so... hence my prediction that the first loss will probably come in Edm. on Sept 24th.
The renegades
Renegades on Sept. 8th.
Ranek Rocks!!!
Esks won't loose at home to BC.
Sask beating them? They have the worse chance of beating BC.
Good teams get lucky…How did one coach say it. Good teams always seem to get the lucky breaks.
I’ll say the Lions streak ends in Edmonton at Commonwealth. Tough place for visitors to win.
Also, if the Lions get too complacent, Hamilton might pull an upset. Unlikely after that showing in Winnipeg but BC has had a history in PAST years of taking the lower teams to lightly.
