Barrin Simpson's days with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are not over after all.
The team confirmed earlier reports the veteran middle linebacker has re-signed with the club. While financial details were not released, reports indicate Simpson took a pay cut to stay in Winnipeg.
According to the Winnipeg Free Press, Simpson agreed to accept a pay cut in the neighbourhood of $65,000 to remain with the club. A league source told the newspaper that Simpson's salary would drop from about $180,000 down to approximately $115,000.
