Insurance much?

Musical QB chair has to land somewhere.

Edit: Hunter Raquet released

Interesting signing.

Honestly, I haven’t been super impressed with Arbuckle as of late. I don’t think this is anything more than a veteran presence for the QB room. I can’t say I hate it. I would take him over the expensive Corn Dog at this point in time.

Arbuckle??? You have to be kidding…the Argos bounce around QBs continues…honestly this is year is not looking good for Argos…on and off the field…

Advice from a former fan get out from under Chad Kelly (dump hm…pay him off…do whatever to lose that loser)…make an offer to Nathan Rourke that he cannot refuse…that way you have both a great role model and a great QB (Canadian to boot)

Arbuckle may need the right coach to bring him back up to form

Another camp arm.

Nothing says desperation like signing Nick Arbuckle.

No, that would be Johnny Manzell.

Could be. One of the things young QB’s struggle with is execution at the line, usually too many procedure, offside, and play clock penalties.

That, plus, you have to have three QB’s ready for every game. And a few teams could have done with more than that last year…

I thought this move would have been made sooner. Dinwiddie is certainly familiar with Arbuckle having him in Calgary and earlier with the Argos. Can’t forget he threw for a 11 TD’s with Calgary filling in for Bo part time. Another veteran presence in the room.

And so it begins.

I don’t think it’s a bad move. He has familiarity with Dinwiddie, the Argos have an O/S OL & he only likely gets on the field if Dukes falters. Essentially Arbuckle in, Raquet out. I don’t see a problem with that exchange.

Nick Arbuckle? Sheer desperation as Nick has shown he doesn’t have the talent to be a successful CFL quarterback. Despite some big losses to free agency the Argos should have a solid defence, but without a decent quarterback their outlook is bleak. Can Chad Kelly sort himself out and return in the second half of the season? Argo fans should hope he does, if not disaster looms.

The signing is a stop-gap measure more than sheer desperation, as in a Hail Mary.

The Argos rebuild in camp from here without hoping and waiting for Kelly. It’s all on him now.
