Offense is not their problem this year, it’s defense. They’ve given up more yards than any other team in the league and he rested half his defense. For a D that has under performed all year half that unit will not have played for 24 days by the opening kick off of the EDF. Burris will have lots of protection and pick the Argo secondary apart.
Whats wrong with that? Most fans try and predict the entire playoffs before they start. You never allow yourself the indulgence of predicting who you think will win each round prior to the playoffs starting? If not you are the rarity. Since this weeks game meant nothing to anyone fans got to get a little early start this year. You seem to think it’s a crime to predict the outcome of games. BigDave better watch out for you. Lighten up. If you don’t want to get into the prognostication game that’s your choice, but don’t look down at those of us who choose to give it a go. It’s called fun, give it a try.
By the way, I don’t think Hamilton has already won the ESF, I think they will win the ESF and the division final. There is a difference which you might see if you could get off your high horse.
when i saw the title of this thread I thought it would be about the actual game last fri not the usual bitching and complaining that goes on here... boy I was wrong.
The Terrible move in my opinion was that play near the end of the game where one of our boneheaded dumbasses did something with the montreal kicker that ended up completely negating our last set of downs...
If i was the head coach that player would have been told to sit out the playoffs or something as suitable punishment for losing the game for the Argos. They were still in it right up to this penalty.
Toronto, city that doesn't even know how to appreciate an iconic team like the Argos that have won so many national championships of their own country.
That to me is the ultimate definition of Loserville!!!
I am sorry, how many Grey Cups has Hamilton won in say the last 40 years? Hamilton 2 Argos 6: Hamilton is for LOSERS!!!
[/quote]
The Argos could win 1,000 Grey Cups in a row and they’d still suck.
But seriously, two in 40 years is sad, but don’t act like six in 40 years is some grand achievement. Both teams have been pretty unimpressive over the last four decades, frankly.
No surprises here. As expected, the Argos players - - and coaches -- weren't ready for the feeble TiCats. Two (2) running plays for Argo RBs for the ENTIRE game? LOL, what a joke.
They lost Kackert and McCune in practice. Its tough to repeat anyway. They played a good first half but Hamilton has been awesome at half time adjustments all season. Austin and his staff have done an amazing job this year.
Firstly, don’t use words you don’t know the definition for. Your use of feeble to describe the Cats tells me you have absolutely no idea what that word actually means.
Secondly, if you think the Argos lost because they were rusty, well, you’re wrong. Rusty teams don’t jump out to 24-10 leads in the first half. The Argos didn’t lose because they were rusty from their layoff; they were beaten in the second half by a team that makes better adjustments than any team in the league this year. Your vendetta against the Argos because of how they treated your overrated brother has clouded your judgement. Rust had nothing to do with Toronto’s defeat yesterday.
Speaking of “rusty” how about a wager on the Grey Cup? If the feeble TiCats win I’ll stop posting on this forum. But if the Riders win you ditch that ridiculous beard.
What “adjustments” did the TiCats make on defence - - did Weasel Steinauer cross his fingers AND his toes hoping someone could make a play? Don’t kid yourself my friend, Milanovich did more to shut down Ricky Ray and the Argo offence than Hamilton did. Two (2) RB carries for the entire game when you’ve got a 14pt lead is inexcusably brutal coaching.
TiCat defence has ZERO playmaking ability. Worst in the league for QB sacks and next to worst in the league for INTs. When they get a dose of Sheets and Sanders pounding the ball at them it’s going to open up the passing game for Durant and the Riders even more.
Have you forgotten what a mismatch the two regular season meetings between Hamilton and the Riders were? Fortunately for the TiCats - - but unfortunately for the CFL and football fans in general - - someone had to represent the pathetic Eastern Division this year. Lots of luck, TiCat fan.
