Argos release reciever

Details from Wikipedia, I might add that he is listed as 6'4'' and only 26 years old:

Johnnie Morant (born December 7, 1981 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American football player who plays wide receiver and is currently on the practice roster of the Toronto Argonauts. His father was a body builder of the same name.

Morant was raised in Parsippany, New Jersey and graduated from Parsippany Hills High School in 2000.[1] He finished his career at Syracuse University with 88 receptions for 1,535 yards (17.4 avg) and seven touchdowns, adding 524 yards on 22 kickoff returns (23.8 avg) and 35 yards with a score on six carries (5.8 avg) while appearing in 35 games. His 1,535 yards ranks 10th on the school's career-record list, while his 17.4-yard average ranks seventh. Morant also had a string of at least one reception in 29 consecutive games. He was selected in the 5th round (154th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft by Oakland.

Morant was released by the Oakland Raiders in August 2007[2]

On June 22, 2008, Morant signed a practice roster agreement with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League[3]

Johnny Morant, does anyone know anything about him.

Im pretty sure he isnt very good.

injury prone and cant play, the raiders cut him and they are desperate for WRs.

terrible hands and made of glass. We have enough ball droppers that we're trying to get ironed out.

The Argos are playing a QB at receiver ahead of him.....that should tell you all you need to know.

Injury prone and can't catch....seems like a perfect fit to be a Rider....grin
