Argos Lose Two Option Year Players to NFL

This report on the sportsnet.ca website today states that Argos' wide receiver P.K. Sam has signed with the Buffalo Bills and defensive back Byron Parker has signed with the Philadephia Eagles. Both players are in their option year.

In other news, the Argos have hired Richard Kent as their defensive backs coach. On his first day at his new position, Kent's job immediately became tougher with the departure of Parker.

Actually, the Argos have lost three players so far to the NFL. OT Clifton Washburn signed with Houston.

With NFLE gone the NFL will probably sign more CFLers than normal to fill out their training camp rosters. That's probably why the CFL is trying to sign their core players to long term contracts now.

Would there not be more players available for their camps with NFLE gone?
