TORONTO — A record-setting season for the Toronto Argonauts didn’t end the way they wanted it to.

The wind was taken out of the Argos sails early in the the game after Mark-Antoine Dequoy spectacular Pick six. :star_struck: What confused me is "Why did Chad Kelly run on both third down attempts in the first half :question:Chad never regained his composer with the 4 first half turnovers. :exclamation:The Argos needed to score first in the second half trailing 10-3. Once the Als scored first it was never in doubt :bangbang: Best of luck to the Als versus the Bombers in the 110th Grey Cup game :100: :football: :canada:

Note: My game ball goes to Mark :bangbang:

The irony is that the Als matchup very well versus the Bombers . The Als “O-Line” must help out Cody Fajardo. :100: I will be cheering for the Als after their convincing 38-17 versus my :anchor:'s May the best team win. :bangbang:

Such a huge blow out by the Argo’s Offence ! Not to take anything away from the ALs but where was the Argo team that played the regular season? Unbelievable 6 give-a-ways in this game, did the Argos celebrate the night before such that they were suffering from a hang-over? I think Ottawa would have done better.

Cody Fajardo has to help out Cody Fajardo. The vast majority of our sacks allowed are down to his mistakes: dropping back too far in the pocket, holding onto the ball too long, not seeing when he has an open receiver.

The Argos were simply not mentally prepared for this game - Montreal was. The Als outplayed the Argos and beat them in the trenches - the number of turnovers is proof of this. The Als deserved the win, but the Argos did not deserve to be booed by their own fans - typical T,O

You have to admit that Cody is one tough son of a gun :star_struck: :100:

He’s tough, I like his attitude, and he makes plays with his legs. But man, his pocket decisions leave a lot to be desired sometimes. Anyway, hoping he can do enough to win in the Grey Cup!

[/quote]How 'BOUT dem AL’S!!!

In one game, anything can happen. Toronto is still the best team during regular season. 18 games against all teams are a better measure than 3 playoff games.

Rested dudes wayyyyy too early.

One week is one thing but they had healthy guys in street clothes for over a month.

Wayyyy wrong, Charlie! Players were being rotated in and out of the lineup over the last six games - NOBODY was in “street clothes for over a month”.

Fjardo is a slow plow horse. An easy sack for any D but it’s always the O lines fault. Rubber arm, missed a bunch of games. Just like when he was with Riders…… the D and special teams have to do it all. The only thing he is good at is eating the mic and blabbing during interviews. Never thought I would say it but GO BOMBERS

2 is not a bunch

I remember the headline in the Globe and Mail’s sports page in November 1986 when the Argos blew a huge lead and lost at home to the Tiger Cats in the East Final.
It was “Total Disaster for Argos”. The same could be said for Saturday’s game. I wonder if the game story will get more than a few lines in Monday’s sport pages.

Argo coach Dinwiddie talks like their poor performance was all the fault of the players - hardly! The coaching staff are equally responsible for preparing the players for a game. It was obvious almost from the beginning of this game that neither the players nor the coaching staff were prepared for a tough game - why not? Did the Argos players or staff watch Montreal over this past 6 weeks? Did they see how well they were playing and did anyone on the Argos do anything to prepare for a much tougher game than they had planned on? The answer to all of the above questions is NO! Dinwiddie needs to look inwardly and ask how did he contribute to the loss?

Another great reason to be a fan of the CFL. A good reminder that the regular season means nothing in the playoffs when anything can happen!

Agree to disagree? You are not wrong. Cody is not yet a QB in the elite level of CFL QBs past and present. It will take two Grey cup championships as the starting QB to achieve such status, imo, but I am happy for him and this season. He got a bad deal from the Riders to finish the season last year, after gutting it out through injuries and the lack of an O Line.
