Argonauts 2025 Season

They better bring back Carey, they have no running game

Doesn’t matter if they don’t have much of an O line.

Found this cool Instagram page, CFLGameGrades, who has been posting these target graphs.

Kind of interesting to see where Arbuckle threw the ball. I don’t think this loss was all on him. Hope he gets another chance. OLine didn’t help him, and neither did the defence.

Has anyone heard if Chadwick is starting next game?

Food for thought and some thinking out loud for the veteran players like Ka’Deem Carey out there so they can be in a more ready state to play wherever they may roam…

Looks like Turner Jr., the returner from Week 1, was placed on the Practice Roster and in turn Jyran Mitchell was released.

Not a fan of this move. Thought maybe we would see Mitchell on the field this week, considering our rushing game was so weak.

Argos currently only have 2 running backs on the roster.

Is it my imagination or are the Argos have been very quiet about Chad Kelly

From what I understand, he is practicing with the team but Dinwiddie doesn’t think he’s ready for full contact. Likely going to be a few weeks before he’s cleared.

Better safe than sorry imo. If we’re 1-4 when he comes back we can still make the playoffs if he plays well.

Looks like he won’t be in action week 2

The Toronto Argonauts won’t be rushing to make a quarterback change after an underwhelming performance from Nick Arbuckle during Saturday’s 29-19 loss to the Calgary Stampeders.

ā€œWe’ll see. I always want to watch the film before I have a say on it,ā€ head coach Ryan Dinwiddie told the media post-game. ā€œI’ve kind of seen it from the sideline and the iPad at halftime — I thought he did some good things but there was a few things we missed. The pick-six was unfortunate because it gave them seven points when their offence wasn’t playing that well. We missed some plays there, but I thought he made some plays at the end and kind of got us back into it.ā€

Arbuckle finished the game 31-of-42 for 309 yards and one touchdown but visibly struggled through the first three quarters. He also threw two costly interceptions, including an early pick-six by Adrian Greene that stood as the game’s only major until the fourth quarter.

Without Kelly, I’m afraid it would be a long, Long season

Kevin Brown is back in the building! Good stuff. Hope to see him start this week. We need more from the run game.

I guess the Argos have sellers remorse for letting Carey go.

Hope he adds something to the run game quickly until McMahon comes back. Just to think this was an area of richness not long ago

To be added August 9.

Well deserved for both.
