Iâm ok with Mike Miller. He has a lot of football experience and the confidence of Chad Kelly. Hopefully retain many of the other assistant coaches get the ball rolling for 2026. I think the Argos need to hire a good bird dog beside John Murphy especially tracking the Canadian talent in Canada and the NCAA. It looks like a deep draft but the real good talent wonât be available in the Canadian draft so they canât make mistakes. It is a problem being forced to start 7 Canadians and good backups but not being able to draft and sign the top Canadian players. Critics will argue the CFL canât get the top American players either, but thatâs a different cat as the talent pool is so deep there it just takes some work to find the best fit for the CFL type player. FAâs resigns IMO should be Brissett, Polk, Franklin and Darkangelo. I love McManis but unless he takes a pay cut he is injured to often now so we will see what happens there. Weâre always reminded it is a business. The offensive line seems to have the pieces but they havenât jelled very well so far with the current group. It didnât go unnoticed that Saskatchewan started 4 mostly veteran Imports on the OLine in the Grey Cup and Harris had a lot of time against a pretty good, IMO, Montreal front seven. Argos need to start a Canadian on the DLine or three Canadian receivers to get another spot for a good Import OLineman. Former Argo Allen is a FA again he would look pretty good back at Left or Right Tackle. So we wish Mike Miller all the best and it may turn out to be a blessing in disguise that other people turned down the Head Coaching job in Toronto. IMO he is the best fit for Chad Kelly and if Chad is healthy he is the best QB in the CFL. What could go wrong. LOL

According to Steve Simmons Miller and Kelly are super close.
Hopefully a good sign for next season and possibly beyond

Maybe Chad actually made the hire behind the scenes. You have to like the QB depth now going forward. They have the receivers so Fix the OLine and theyâre in business on offense.

I figured Coach Miller would be the OC. Might have to look back through his career as a coach to see what kind of offence he runs.

Here are some tidbits about our new coach that I was able to find;
- Elgersma seems to like him.
- His philosophy on QB leadership.
- Dinwiddieâs endorsement of Miller when he was interviewed by Winnipeg for the OC position.
- Endorsement from the HC of Westminster College, where Miller served as DC in 2019-2020.

This news, with the news on Mike Miller, tells me that we can send those perennial (hater) rants about MLSE not caring enough about the Argos,
so as to not spend much money,
to the shit-bin!

This is a good hire for Kelly and yes they need a running back or the offense is one dimensional.

Argos running back and offensive line are chicken/egg analogy; was the running game so bad because of the offensive line deficiencies or was the offensive line bad because the running backs couldnât hit the holes; or both? For me, this is the biggest area of concern over the coming off season.

Youâre correct you canât have one without the other. The running backs we had were not great blockers. I also believe they were too small. I would like to see the Argos go after free agent Dedrick Mills from Calgary. He the durability and speed.

Oh this is great! Not only will I not have to listen to that bufoon Barker on TSN anymore, we got rid of that snake Murphy too!
Kelly looks to be sticking around. Wonder what that means for Arbuckle. Obviously, he is Dinwiddiesâ guy, so I would imagine Ottawa is in the cards, but Miller was his QB coach. Maybe he can convince him to stay. Best backup in the league by a good margin.

Thatâs interesting. One of the reasons Dinwiddie was to suppose to have left was John Murphy. Why Now? Jim Barker knows his football IMO. It was him that brought Trevor Harris, Zac Collaras and Cody Fajardo into the League.
