Arena Football League plans relaunch in 2024

And now the Arena Football League is down to zero teams.

The remaining 8 starting a new league. So many arena/indoor and spring leagues come and go they run out of letters so have to use numbers in the names now.

I believe that these leagues should be productive, or simply serve for their owners to lower taxes to pay for their other businesses, the IFL is quite constant, but also the NAL manages to keep up, I recently saw one that is only 4 teams and now the survivors of the AFL are setting up another one.

I really like Indoor Football, I would like to go to a game, the closest thing to me is Albany or Masachussets and I follow them on youtube, I regret not being able to go to the AFL final at the American Dream.

I wish the best for them

They better figure something out. Nobody has time for shopping mall football but for people who perhaps happen to be there right in the damn mall who went for something else.

I blame the pandemic for the very fact that a football game in a shopping mall even happened,
just like countless other worthless crap from stupid ideas on YouTube channels,
which sprouted during the pandemic that are now in the trash bin forever,
which most of them deserved day one.

I blame investors who are unable to pay their arena bills for them playing in a mallā€¦and they nearly stiffed that place too :joy:

With most malls dying these days, I think a 4th tier football league acting like a legitimate business is a good match.

Still Iā€™d welcome a game or two in the mall near my placeā€¦I wouldnā€™t want to pay to see it though but it matches the business model of these endeavors lol

All these investors in these indoor / arena football can either cut a deal to form ONE venture that logistically can work so as to cut higher travel costs than ever,
for travel is no longer cheap,
and akin to as did the two spring football leagues though the jury remains out there going into the 2025 UFL season,
or these leagues will essentially be playing musical chairs for temporary existence wherever games are played.

The market for sports and entertainment is more fragmented than ever now beyond the major leagues, which themselves are taking a hit on attendance and ratings in the smaller or weaker markets especially.

The niche and minor leagues donā€™t have the luxury of operating like this as if still in the world before public internet until the late 1990s, when it was still the World Wide Wait for most people online when not at work.

yes exactly, in the Indoor Football forums and comments, many say to merge the leagues, but there are certain differences between them and also the transportation costs.

A little bit is also the situation of the Lacross Inddor with the NLL, some clubs have enough followers, and fill the arenas, but in others not so much, this season the NY team is moving to Ottawa, I hope they do very well and the public support them
