Hopefully we get some players back for the BC game and injuries from the EE game are minimal.

Indeed I have Rider. Also “The Last Crossing”. I found “Crossing” to be very raw, very unsettling. Didn’t know the author lived in Saskatoon.
Also read “Strangers in the House” by Candace Savage. A fantastic piece of Metis genealogical history. Found the house on Google Maps.
Great to talk prairie literature with you Rider. Nice change from some of the adolescent drivel on here

I worked retail and the author of the Englishman’s Boy shopped on my store.
I thought for weeks it was him when I saw him so I eventually asked him . I had the book for him to sign with me. My daughter has the book now.

The Riders are 8 - 7 - 1 . That’s who they are . They’ve got a chance along with the Bombers , Lions, Als and Ottawa . I see the Als and the Bombers in the Grey Cup .
The Riders have been playing very well, arguably the best in the CFL, since the Banjo Bowl. If not for resting the starters in the last game against Calgary they could well be undefeated since then. I think they can now beat any team in the league if they continue to play that way. They are getting healthy everywhere, can start 2 game-breaking RBs, the O-line is no longer doing a turn-stile imitation and Harris is laser focused and picking defenses. Our defense leads or is near the top in all defensive categories (way ahead in the take-away stat). I believe we have as good, if not better, shot than anyone else at winning the GC in 2024.

The riders are definately an improved team , they still need a break away receiver, and a few tweaks here and there, a new season and a new start, but along with it you will have improve elks, lions, It will be interesting next year to to where the riders fall. You could have 4 very good teams , along with the stamps, depending on what they do.

After watching the Toronto defence dismantle the bombers, in the grey cup,it’s clear as mud, the riders defence is no where near good enough to beat the bummers, the defence needs 4 on the line to be much much better, and a McManus type middle linebacker would certainly help

Rider defence played well against them during the regular season. Had their butts handed to them in the playoffs. But any team can look elite in a single game, especially after a week of rest and playing at home in the playoffs.
