Are Riders for real?

You can add to that, that a good passing game opens up the run game. The defence then needs to adapt by dropping more LBs into coverage. That in turn opens up the run game. The opposite happens when you are running well.

Back to my earlier point, we need to use the whole field like the guy you quoted said.

Simple answer to your thread title “Are the Riders for real ?” Well we will find out tomorrow if they are real or not in a game I am looking forward to watching .

There is a possibility that he may be back late in the season. But I am not sure if that is a good possibility. What I would like to know is the injury status of his replacement, Brammer, who did a good job. Does anyone know?

Should be a dandy! The have been very few LDs that were duds.

Totally agree. Ds have been cheating up on us due to our reluctance to throw deep balls. It results in 7-yard curls/slants/crossers not making first downs, and gap cancelation on runs.

Really have to wonder if our blocking schemes are contributing to all the Oline injuries every year. There has to be more going on than just bad luck year after year. It’s to the point that we need to carry three full lines throughout the season.

Bring pressure and a quick release QB with an injury history is going to do what he does. Throw short.

That Jones sure looking good for the elks, riders might have hung on to that one, they really seem to be missing that deep threat. Not to sure about some of our Canadian receivers anymore, seems to be a lot of dropped balls lately, which could have been a difference in this game. I mean they are like the kicker, they have one job to do, catch the ball.
