Anyone have the numbers from the parade

Anybody know the official attendance for the parade?

I have heard/read
10,000
Tens of thousands
150,000 and 250,000

To me 250,000 is kinda high and 10,000 is ridiculously low

I was up at the stage and could not see behind all that well but I am told the crowd spilled back along St Catherine street in both directions

250k for the parade is about right i woudl say, and 25k for the plaza event is probably correct.
Not everyone walked to the plaza.

250,000 - 300,000

COOL!

So how come no one is posting these numbers in the main forum.

Seems to me the green fans need to know what real fans are! :stuck_out_tongue:

As per Montreal police: 250,000

There are no official numbers, its goes from 25,000 (ridiculous) to 350,000. the most serious ones 250,000 to 300,000.

I don’t now how you got the numbers from the Montreal police? I called the city Hall they toll me that the Montreal police do not count the growds any more.

I'm not surprised, last time I was in Montreal your "cops" were wearing pyjamas on the job.

I think you need glasses the estimate of 25k was for the plaza =crowd, and that is probably close to that, the parade itself is closer to 250k

That’s exactly what he is saying.

He says 25,000 is ridiculous, that is NOT what i said. the 25k is pretty much bang on, not ridiculous.

25,000 or 250,000...I was there and I couldn't count. It was unbelievable how many people came out to show their support. As for the cops, they are there "just in case". Nothing bad happened, so they didn't have to intervene or anything. But I agree with someone's previous post, they weren't there to count. They were there to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves in a safe, happy environment. That's exactly what happened. The parade was spectacular. The only official number I can find is that there were over 10,000 people packed in the plaza (the end of the parade). No other numbers seem to be officially official.
