REGINA — If Week 2 was any indication, the Week 3 finale shouldn’t be short on excitement.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders renew acquaintances on Sunday night at Mosaic Stadium, one week after the Riders went on the road and took a 33-30 victory from the Ticats at Tim Hortons Field.
A few things will be different this time, right out of the gate:
The home team advantage. I got the sense with both of Hamilton’s previous games that they’re not a weathered team and who knows how loud Mosaic will get.
Penalties. If the Riders keep themselves disciplined at the beginning of the game, they won’t need to rely on come-from-behind victories like the first two weeks.
The Command Centre. They were Hamilton’s almost-MVP last week after that silly helmet call. Will they come through again for the black & gold?
Which team gels? I suspect that the Riders have the advantage here with a core which has remained largely intact, or has added other vets of the league vs Hamilton’s lineup.
