Andy McNamara New Radio Voice of your Hamilton Tiger Cats

This according to Drew Edwards.

Anyone know anything about this guy?

He has big shoes to fill ... always enjoyed Zamperins call.

All you need to know...

McNamara does play by play for the NLL telecasts on TSN, he also did a weekly radio show/podcast for CBC and then for TSN radio the last couple of years on the CFL, and last year I believe he was the sideline reporter for the Argos games on TSN1050.

As long as Coach Sal is there, I'll be listening.

For the luv of gawd if there is 1:25 left in the quarter, half, game etc. please do not say "a buck twenty five" . thank you in advance.

How about a dollar twenty-five?

A loonie and twenty-five?

At the current exchange rate (1.2477) would be a minute and 56 seconds for American players.

Wish we had a Hamilton guy, but reserving judgment till I hear the work.

Looks like he is currently on TSN 1050, Host of @TSNAnalytics, Game Night,TorontoRockLAX & @NLL for #TSN TV; #Browns writer. Does a lot of NFL analysis, can't see where he does any CFL stuff, but that shouldn't be a problem if he is doing play by play.

As someone said above, I agree, I hate hearing "a buck twenty five left in the game"....... what does that mean?...
I guess it sounds cool just like saying "a team is at 500" a team can be winning 50% of their games but how can they be at 500??

Here is a sample of his radio work. This play-by-play of Generals hockey. There is no football play-by=play on his bio but he has done hockey, lacrosse, baseball, basketball and volleyball play-by-play. Seems to have a decent enough play-by-play voice with enough excitement at key moment without being over the top.

don't like him already !! :x

please don't say center line for the 55 yard line

Cause when you're giving statistics it's always in decimal form to the third place. All games won would be expressed as 1.000. So 50% of that is. 500.

Somebody message him we need a fifth qtr to vent!!!!

Of course we all know that it means! I was adding to the annoying sport cliche statements that I dislike including "a buck twenty five left in the game" ......

The Ticats are going to have one of the best on Monday night's game broadcast. Rod Black will be doing the play-by-play on 1150

I agree, not necessarily to vent, but talk about the game.

If you actually believe this, you're a huge troll. If you're joking, you need to make that more obvious by adding  or something.

And I really don't understand why things like "a buck twenty five left in the game" or "the team is at .500" bothers any of you. If that is what gets your ire, you need to relax.

TSN will have Matthew Cauz doing the pre and post game duties for TC games.

This entire change over has to be a huge upgrade over the amateur CHML productions of the last 5-10 years.

It was someone else above that mentioned "a buck twenty" and I added "500 hundred" as these silly "sports sayings" that some broadcasters use to sound really cool.

As for Rod Black it seems a lot of Ticat fans are excited that he's doing the game, a lot of fans call him the "voice of the CFL"...

Although for some broadcasters it has become somewhat of a crutch, I'm more involved in the play at the time, and as such, I'm not paying so close attention to such things.

You may think Rod Black to be a good selection; personally I've grown tired of his obsessions (Ricky Ray injuries, the constant naming of players famous parents, the failure to recognize that there are two teams playing the game...)

Given the choice, I would rather have Rick Zamperin back.
